On the floor layed not one, not two, not even fifty, but probably a hundred or so snakes on the floor. In the middle of the room lay Rose sitting on a chair, surrounded. Whose voices did I hear? Maybe they already got away and left Rose here to die...

"Al!" Rose says in distress. "Help me please!"

I tried to make my way over to her, but every time I tried to move forward, I snake would get in the way and try to bite me. I continue to try and save Rose, but to no avail.

"Ugh!" I complain. "What am I supposed to do."

Just to make things worse, the snakes slowly started to climb on Rose's chair.

"Umm Al, I think they're preparing me for dinner!" Rose says. "Please help!"

I know I can't get help from anyone, so I continue to try and make my way over to Rose. a snake was on Rose's neck, ready to bite her. The world before me suddenly shrunk!

"SSSSSSTOP" I scream. "DON'T BITE HER" I scream.

Woah, what had to my voice! What had happened to my body? I look at myself and notice that I had a tail, scales, a long, thin body. This could only mean one thing! I turned into a snake? I look at Rose remembering the current predicament.

"Wait, can I talk to sssssnakes now?" I ask. "Hello fellow sssnakes? Can you guys please stay away from my friend Rose?"

"You should've asked, we were just trying to snuggle with her." a snake replied. "She looked bored waiting here, so we decided to keep her company."

The snakes slowly part away from Rose. Rose gives a grin to all the snakes and stays seated in her chair.

"Wait..." I say thinking back to something. "Weren't you guys the snakes that had caught loose? How'd you even get loose in the first place?"

"Well, we were actually just let out by your headmaster." another snake informs me. "He's one smart cookie, he can talk to snakes just like you!"

"Yep, I can also talk in snake." says a snake that had the hat that I had saw at my first dinner. "Hello there Albus."

"Headmaster Fumbletore!" I say, surprised and befuddled. "What're you doing here and why are you a snake?"

"Well, we are what're called animagi. Wizards that are able to turn into animals. Most wizards have to learn how to become an animagus, but some wizards are special." he informs me. "They are naturally born with this ability."

"Wait... are you saying that I'm an animagus?" I ponder. "I was born with the ability to turn into a snake at will?"

"Yes, I'm pretty sure you've heard a bit of information on what Animagus are from Austin."

Headmaster Fumbletore said. "I've asked Rose to give that book to him. Speaking of Rose, we should come back to human form so she knows that we're fine."

"Wait, but how do I turn back into a human," I ask. "Do I have to say any spells?"

"No, just think about being a human, then you'll become one." he says as he slowly turns back into a man.

I think about turning back into a human; getting my head, body and feet back. Slowly but surely, I do end up turning back into one! I see Rose looking at me with a sheepish grin.

"Wait Rose, did you know that you weren't being attacked by snakes?" I ask her. "Were you just acting the whole time?"

"Err... yeah." Rose says truthfully. "Headmaster Fumbletore asked me to help so that you would learn that you are an Animagus."

"Why?" I ask Headmaster Fumbletore. "I was so terrified that Rose was going to be killed by snakes!"

"Actually, your dad told me to do this," he responds as he hands me a letter. "Here, read this before you start getting sad."

     Dear Al,

I know you might be mad at me for doing this, but I did it for a reason. When I was your age, I had to go through so much surprises because of Voldemort, but now that he's gone, we don't have to worry about him any longer. I did this so that you would know what it felt like, what the feeling of being in danger feels like. Life is full of dangers, but we tend to overlook them. So whenever you are feeling sad or angry, just think about thethings that you don't have to go through.

P.S. Also, congratulations on finding out you were an Animagus! I knew you were one ever since you were a baby, but I've been saving it to this moment.

     Sincerely, Dad

"Your dad is just giving you a reason to work hard." Fumbletore informs. "He just wants you to work hard in Hogwarts, because some people didn't get the same chance as you because of the things that had happened in the previous years."

"Wow..." I say astonished. "Now I feel bad for the people that wasn't able to get the same chance as me."

"Well, you can honour them by actually working hard." Professor Fumbletore grins.

"Anyways, I better get these snakes back to the muggle zoo, they must be wondering where all their snakes had went."

"And we better get going to transfiguration." Rose remembered. "We're already late!"

"Dang it!" I sigh. "Fumbletore, are we going to be excused for being late."

"No, you still have to face the consequences of being late." he chuckles. "You might lose a lot of points because of this. Have fun!"

"Oh well." I groaned as Rose and I make our way over to transfiguration class.
