Peter's POV
As the traffic goes by along Makati, I turned on the radio for some music.
This shouldn't take too long, I thought as I hummed in to the beat of New York City by The Chainsmokers.
The traffic goes smoothly as I drive my way through the traffic.
As I reached Bonifacio Global City in McKinley Hill, the first thing I did was to find a parking space.
As I entered into the parking lot, there were many cars. And it was very hard to find one until I spotted a space where the stores are. I parked somewhere between a black Lamborghini and a red Ferrari. I parked my silver Mini Cooper, turned the engine off, and got out of my car.
As I walked through the crowd, I saw three panels with pictures and Christmas lights all over the panels, two tables filled with delicious food such as pizza, marshmallows, fruits, and nachos, and most of all, the fact it was an outdoor photo exhibit emphasizes the whole minimalistic vibe of the exhibit. The people waiting anxiously for it to open.
I checked my watch for the time. It's 5:55pm, and people have been waiting here for hours to see this exhibit.
Suddenly, a guy appears in front of the ribbon line with a lady and a man who were both wearing corporate attire. The man was their dean while the lady must be the president of the school.
"Welcome and good evening everyone," the guy began. "Welcome to our very first exhibit that's outside the school campus. I'm Mr. Steven Presley, the President of Shore Plant Colleges, and I have the honor of being with the Dean of Liberal Arts, Ms. Coraline Shelley."
People clapped and applaud everywhere. I gave a little applause.
"Now, there are things that I would like to say. I would like to thank the staff and management of Bonifacio Global City for using their place as a venue for our photo exhibit. I would also like to thank the whole first year of MMA for organizing this simple yet sophisticated exhibit. Along with us for tonight is our photography teacher, Mr. Mike Maxwell," Mr. Presley announced happily as a man in his early 40s showed up with them.
That man, Mr. Maxwell I suppose, was wearing a black blazer, a gray shirt, a pair of regular jeans, and a pair of black boat shoes. I'm guessing that he has features of an Italian painter because he's tall and he looks Italian.
"So without further ado, we would like to cut the ribbon to open the exhibit for a week until next Saturday," Mr. Maxwell said as he looked at Ms. Shelley and said, "Will you do the honors?"
She mouthed her response to him, but I understood it as a yes, so she got the scissors from him, cut the ribbon, and after it happened, everyone started to cheer and clap.
Everyone went in and got lost in looking at the pictures. People getting food from the concession table like pizza from Yellow Cab, nachos, marshmallows in a stick, fruits like strawberries, blueberries, kiwi slices, pineapple slices, apple slices, and grapes, bottles of sodas like Coke, Sprite, and Royal are being served. Others are talking and laughing while eating food while the other people decided to look and admire the photos that are hung on the panels.
I got a slice of vegetable pizza and a cup of Sprite, and looked at the photos.
Suddenly, I saw a photo that was at the most left. I went over to it and saw a man sitting upright on a grassy field. He hugged his knees up and was looking into the endless horizon. I looked at the caption that said:
Contemplating Horizons
Blair Lily S. Chanster
The caption was at the bottom of the photo.
Then I heard a laugh.
It was coming from my left and when I looked, there are two girls that are sitting at the edge of the fountain, eating, talking and laughing about something.
But this girl that I'm looking at, laughing, had striking features. She had curly black hair that dangles and cascades like a waterfall, had a pair of round blue eyes, and pale lips. Her skin is white, and her body stature is stunningly attractive. She's wearing a blue beanie on her head, a dark blue cardigan with a brown tank top underneath, a pair of khaki pants and a pair of gold flats.
And ultimately, I fell in love for her at a distance.
