Aurora's POV
I've known Harry for about two months now, and what I've learned about him is that he's a very shy closed off person, but once you get to know him he slowly starts to come out of his shell. And the other thing I learned is that he loves his mom.. But I learned just how much he loved her when he found out she was diagnosed with cancer just last week.
It's such a sad thing to watch.. Seeing a boy wither and fall apart as he sees his own mother grow weaker everyday. Harry hasn't been at the cafe much this week or last week, he's been visiting his mom every chance he gets. But I guess I'd do the same if it were my mother.
Me and Niall have been looking after the store for Anne and Harry lately, but today it was just me. Niall had somewhere to be so I was alone today, but I guess it was okay, it isn't that busy anyways.
I take out a batch of muffins from the oven, wiping my hands on my apron and walking out into the front to see the cafe completely empty. I frown walking to the corner of the store where I always sit and look out the window.
It's cloudy today, it'll most likely rain later so I go and turn the open/closed sign to closed. It's not like anybody's gonna come in today anyways. I go to the back of the store to get my coat and bag before walking out the store locking it on my way out. I start walking, I don't know where just wherever my legs take me I guess.
I end up at mine and Harry's hill, I shrug walking up the hill to find someone already here, their back is facing towards me so I can't make out who it is but once I get closer I notice it's only Harry.
I sigh walking up the rest of the way sitting down next to him. I glance at him but he just keeps staring straight ahead.
"How long have you been sitting here?" I ask him but get no answer
I sigh and take my flower crown off staring at it in my lap. "You know you're gonna have to talk to me sooner or later right?" I ask but get no answer once again. I bite my lip and place my flower crown in his lap.
I finally get some sort of reaction out of him as he looks down at the crown in his lap.
"I thought you never took off your flower crown?" He asks holding it in his large hands
"Well for you I do." I answer staring at the scenery in front of me
"Why do you wear it all the time?"
I sigh closing my eyes "because I feel safe when I wear it. My mother left my dad and me after my brother turned one. She left me the flower crown so I'd always have a piece of her wherever I went, I never knew why she left.. She never really told any of us. She was just gone one day."
"I'm sorry to hear that." Harry reaches over and holds my hand
"Don't be, it's over now there's nothing I can do about it." I shrug looking over at him to see him looking down at the flower crown
"What are you thinking about?" I ask
"About my mum, and maybe needing something to have her with me at all times when she's gone."
I hum in response closing my eyes enjoying the breeze blow through my hair "That sounds like a great idea."
After a couple minutes of silence Harry speaks up
"Hey princess?"
"Yes Harry?" I opens my eyes to look at him
"Will you be my girlfriend?" He smiles slightly blushing a bit as well
"I'd be honored." I smile leaning over to kiss him but I feel a raindrop on my nose, I look up and almost instantly it starts raining. I squeal standing up still holding Harry's hand as he stands up too, we start running down the hill laughing and I reach up to hold my flower crown from falling off my head. But I realize it's not there I left it up on the hill, it's probably ruined by now. I turn and look back at the hill whilst still running with Harry, I turn my head back to look ahead of me, leaving the hill and the last part I had of my mother behind.
