Chapter 10

Harry's POV

I can't believe I asked Aurora to be my girlfriend. And she said yes! Im currently sitting in the back of the kitchen at the cafe writing about my experience with Aurora last week. They discharged my mum from the hospital two days ago, she just has to take it easy for now until we go back for her next round of chemo.

I look up smiling at her as she decorates some cupcakes, putting little candy roses on top. Which reminds me of Aurora and her telling me she couldn't work today because she had a friend coming to visit. I can't believe she's finally mine. I think to myself standing up and hiding my journal under the stool I was sitting on.

I go over to my mum and kiss her cheek "I'm going out for the day."I say as she turns to look at me. "Where to?" She asks

"To visit Aurora." I shrug on my coat

"I thought she was with her friend for the day?"

"Well I'm sure she won't mind me visiting, you'll be okay right?" I ask worriedly

"Yes dear, I'll be fine." She smiles and turns her attention back to the cupcakes

"Okay." I nod turning to leave. I walk through the store and out the front door. I head for Aurora's house, humming happily walking down the street.

I finally turn the corner to her street, looking straight ahead seeing her apartment not too far from where I am. I suddenly stop dead in my tracks as I see her hugging a boy with raven black hair as I can see. I slowly walk a bit closer so I can hear their conversation better, I hide behind her neighbors stoop quietly listening to what they're saying.

"I had a good time with you today Rora." The boy says to her

"Me too Zayn, it's nice seeing you again." I slowly peek around the stoop to see what they're doing immediately regretting my decision as I see them hugging.

They pull away from each other and Aurora smiles. "I'll see you tomorrow yeah?"

"Yeah, 2:00 o'clock right?"

"Right." She answers

"Alright I'll see you then babe, love you." The boy says kissing her cheek. But I recently learned his name was Zayn.

"Love you too, bye" Aurora waves as Zayn gets in a taxi waving bye to her

I slowly emerge from my hiding spot walking up to her with a frown on my face. She doesn't see me as she's still watching the taxi as it drives down the street.

I clear my throat making her gasp and turning around finding me staring at her with my hands behind my back.

"Harry you scared me!" She smiles

"So when were you going to tell me about him?" I nod my head in the direction the taxi left

Her smile falters as she stares at me confused "Harry what are you talking about?"

"The boy that was just here? is he your secret boyfriend you didn't tell me about?" I stare at her with a straight face

"That's not what it looked like." She frown

"Then what did it look like Aurora?! Tell me! Because I'm dying to know why you would say yes to being my girlfriend when you were clearly already in a relationship!" I raise my voice

"I'm not in another relationship Harry." She raises her voice as well

"Then tell me why he just said he loved you!" I say walking a bit closer towering over her. "You're all mine." I look down at her reaching for her hand but she pulls it away

"I am nobody's!" She yells "I'm not yours and I'm not Zayns! I'm not a piece of property Harry, Zayn is just a friend! He's the friend I told you about that was coming to visit!"

"Then why did he tell you he loved you? And why did you say it back?" I ask staring into her eyes

"Because I've know him forever, I grew up with him Harry." She says looking at the ground not making eye contact with me. I instantly feel like the biggest idiot for assuming things, of course he was her friend! She wouldn't have another boyfriend behind my back, she's not like that! I think mentally kicking myself.

I sigh lifting her chin up to look at me "I'm sorry, I just saw you with him and I guess I jumped to conclusions."

"Yeah you kinda did." She says reaching to intertwine our hands "are you sorry for yelling at me too?"

"Yes, I'm so sorry for yelling at you." I apologize kissing her forehead

"I accept your apology." She nods

"I'm still your boyfriend right?"

She laughs nodding her head "yes curly you're still my boyfriend. So why'd you come to visit me anyways?" She asks

"Oh well I wanted to know if you wanted to hang out with me today?" I ask rubbing the back of my neck

"I'd love to hang out with you." She smiles "And this is cute too." She tugs at my Rolling Stones t shirt and I laugh

"You can borrow it whenever you'd like princess."

"If I borrowed it you would never get it back." She laughs

"Well.." I shrug "I'm fine with that."
