Chapter 5

Erza's POV

While crying on Jellal's shoulder I feel his warm embrace around me and his head rested on my shoulders. Soon enough he started crying too, before anyone from our class can see us he takes my hand and brings me in the closet where all the gym supplies are. There we lock the door so no one comes in and sees us crying and hear our conversation, because that would ruin both of our ''so called'' reputations.

"I-I'm so sorry Erza...!" His wet lips were quivering. "I should have never left...! M-My mom she... Couldn't afford the house..."

I look at his deep green eyes full of tears "Every night I stayed up thinking about where you were and how you were d-doing..."

I never saw him cry before. He was always the happy boy cheering me up no matter the situation. Jellal finds a tissue on a shelf and hands it to me so I can wipe the tears and makeup off my face.

"I think the bell just rang..." Wiping his eyes he pulls me up and leads me to the girls change room. When I'm done it's lunch time. We hold each others hand again and walk towards the cafeteria sitting at the table where Lucy, Natsu, Gray, Levy and the others are.

Lucy seems to notice something's up, she takes my hand and brings me to the hallway so we can talk.

"Hey Erza...? What's wrong?"

"Its uh... Nothing! Jellal just... Helped me find something I dropped outside yesterday...!" I lie reaching in my pockets and holding out a bookmark.

unconvinced she decides to go with it, mainly because she knows she can't pry me into telling her things when I'm upset.

"Want to text or talk on the phone later?"

"...Sure" I really need to talk to someone about this, it's too hard to hold it in all by myself.

Walking back to our lunch table I sit down and start eating my strawberry cake.

"Hey Erza..." Jellal grins "Can I have a piece?" I can see everyone's jaw dropping looking at Jellal like it was the end for him.

Pulling my plate close to me with my arms around it I give a playful hiss.

Jellal starts laughing "Still the same Erza I know!" Suddenly his face becomes serious and his eyes trail to some point behind me. I turn around expecting to see something but all I hear is Jellal's laugh again. when I look back at him, I see him eating a piece of my cake. My strawberry cake.

"You... You ate my cake..." Getting up I start chasing the bluenette thief around the cafeteria, of course I catch up when we reach the hallway, put my arms around him tightly trying to put him to the ground. But he pulls me down with him. I start blushing like crazy and for a second all we do is stare at each other, he's only about four inches from my face. Then an evil grin pops up on his face as he flips me over him being on top now.

He tickles me, I can't stop laughing. "J-Jellal...! Y-You're gonna p-pay...!" Just like we we're kids

Jellal's POV

After tickling her we become silent again, my cheeks flustered in red I help her get up

"Jellal are you okay? Your face is as red as your tattoo!" She teases

*Bell Rings*

"Well let's get to class!" Grabbing our stuff we start walking to class hands in each others.

"HEY! Love birds!" I hear Natsu screaming at us with Lucy beside him. Before Erza can say anything, I turn my head and yell back "Sorry I don't remember being a mirror!" Natsu's face turns red and so does Lucy's. Me and Erza can't stop ourselves from laughing, but never do I let go of her

Turning towards her I ask "Hey Erza, want to come study at my place after school? My parents are going with some friends" She thinks about this for a second.

I sigh "I have cake..."

"I'll be there." She gives in

---Time Skip--- (At Jellal's house)

*Knocks at door*

"Coming!" I yell opening the handle "Hey Erza! Nice sweater!" She was wearing a light blue hoodie, my favorite color. "Thanks" She smiles. "Im guessing we aren't really going to study?"

"Maybe, maybe not... I wanted to give you something..." Her eyes open curiously "Cake?" she asks

"Well, that and something else." I lead her towards the table where a cake and a pair of earrings lie. staring in shock she puts her head down and giggles "Jellal... You didn't have to do that for me... Except the cake, you owed me. But the earrings... I don't deserve such things!"

"Well it's too late to return them and I got them just for you, because as you probably remember I didn't let you have a tattoo like mine... So, I thought the earrings would make up for that" I smile.

Carefully taking them, she examines the silver diamond shape "T-Thanks so much Jellal!" blushing she trows herself in my arms. I help her put them on and then bring her towards a mirror. "They're beautiful...! The best piece of jewelry I own!" "Probably the only one" I chuckle "Now, you better start eating that cake before I take it from you again!" We race towards the dessert, I grab the only fork and smirk "Not fast enough Titania..." Before I take a bite she smacks the food on my face. She starts laughing uncontrollably "Hey!" I wipe my face. "Not fast enough Jellal!" She finishes the cake as fast as she can leaving nothing "Hey! I didn't even get any...!"

"Yeah, there's still a little left..." Unsure of what she's referring to, i look under the plate to see if somehow there was some left. But that's not where it was.

Erza's POV:

I get up and look into Jellal's eyes and point towards his face full of icing.

"Right here..."

Closing my eyes I gently press my lips against his soft ones. He seems suprised at first then puts his hands around me and closes his eyes. I felt so happy I couldn't help but smile.

And that's when I knew I fell in love with the blue haired boy.
