Flashback
I wake up to the shattering of my great-grandmother's glass vase. I Jerk off my covers and cut on the lamp beside my bed. I creep toward the door of my room and I slowly open my wooden door and hear the creak it always make. I hear blood curling screaming downstairs in the family room. I carefully Tip toe down the hallway making sure I step on the sweet spots so it won't creak. I reach my old-fashioned oak wood stairwell and carefully tiptoed down the stairs making sure I stepped on the sweet spots, halfway down the stairs I see my mom and dad fiercely yelling and screaming at each other. I stood petrified as my dad who is about 5'9 and hands hard as a rhino punch my mom with extreme force. I watch as my mom curled over in pain and discomfort. I stood there in complete utter shock as my mom clutched her lower abdomen and bent over and fell over. I screamed as loud as possible trying to distract my dad. My mom's blood was leaking onto the white cheetah print rug in our family room. That's when I noticed my father turning his attention toward me and I ran up the stairs. I quickly go in my bedroom close my door and locked it. I grabbed my phone and dialed 911. I yelled at the top of my lungs I'm calling the POLICE DON'T TRY ANY THING!!! I don't hear a response, I run to the door and run downstairs and run to my mom. I grab her and tell her that the ambulance is on the way and to hold on. I feel the tears streaming down my hot face slowly cooling down my face. I look up and look around the room seeing if my dad was still here. The police came and asked me questions and too me in for a interrogation and I was released after 4 hours. I rushed to the hospital and asked about my mom and was told she ruptured her spleen and her appendix the injuries she suffered put her into a coma. I cried the tears coming down like a severe thunderstorm.
