We've been walking for a long time and I'm seriously thinking about going back to my herd, but Athena would have my head if I did that, so no. Speaking of that feathered demon, Athena's been extra irritable lately because of something that happened when we reached the food and supplies store.

~ FLASHBACK ~

"Wow, we finally made it" Henry sighed as we hiked down the path leading to the shack. Athena let out a sigh, "We would have made it here faster if someone didn't stop every five minutes to rest" She shot me an frustrated glare but I really could care less at the moment. I collapsed on the floor and pulled myself the door. When I finally reached it, I pulled myself up and knocked. No answer. So I waltzed in like I owned the place while simultaneously ignoring Athena's protests from behind me.

As I nonchalantly trotted up to the front desk, a stunningly gorgeous red alpaca popped out from behind the desk. I think my eyes must've popped out of my head as I stared at her. "How may I help y'all this fine afternoon?" she asked in a sweet, southern accent that made me melt. I was about to answer but Athena interjected. "We just came for a couple supplies for...well that's really none of your business. We just need enough food to last the three of us around 4 days" she said bitterly. "Oh, what are y'all doing down in this part of the Rainbow Kingdom?" she questioned, ignoring Athena's harsh tone. Once again as I was about to respond, Athena interrupted me. "As I said it's none of your business, so now may you please just go and get what we need"Athena said growing more frustrated by the second. "Fine" was the last thing we heard her say before everything started going downhill.

I turned to face Athena who was on Henry's back."What the duck was that?" I bellowed angrily. "I don't know. I just got a weird feeling from her and plus she was asking too many questions. You never know who could be a traitor" She responded. "Would you two stop arguing, you're acting like babies. It's getting annoying. If we're going to finish this journey we all need to get along" Henry exclaimed. Before I could even think of a response, we heard a ground-shaking crash come from the back of the shop. We whipped our heads around, then looked at each other. "What was that?" Athena asked. " I dunno" I replied. "Perhaps we should stop standing here like rocks and go see what's going on" Athena hopped off of Henry's back and began moving towards the door. I rolled my eyes but followed Henry and Athena closely.

We crept cautiously towards where the red alpaca had disappeared to. A low rumbling sound came from the small room behind the desk. As I stepped forward and peered around the corner, I saw large mound of black and gold fur huddled in a corner surrounded by red alpaca wool. I stumbled back and gasped before regaining my balance. I could hear it mumbling barely audible words, something like, "Master, they're here. Master should I continue ?". I heard Athena gasp from the floor between Henry and I,"It's a black and gold goblins. The one the rainbow guardians warned us about in our dreams!" She stated quietly. The awful odor from its pelt drifted to my nose, causing me to gag slightly.

"It must have disguised itself as that alpaca to trick us" Henry whispered. " You see I told you. Anyone can be a traitor!" Athena scolded, her feathers fluffing up. "Well how was I supposed to know that she was actually a goblin? I'm sorry we can't all be perfect like you!" I angrily retorted, still trying to keep my voice down. " Guys, this is seriously not the time for this" Henry interfered, stepping between us. " He's right. So what are we going to do about it?" Athena snapped.

"You know, it looks pretty distracted right now, why don't we just grab what we need and get the heck out of  here?" I suggested. " No, Larry, think for a second. If we just leave this here it might destroy the villages near by, goodness, do you ever use your head?" Athena spat in a hushed voice. "Well I'm sorry it was just a suggestion! Do you have any ideas?!" I shouted. My mouth hung open as I realized my mistake. The goblin whipped its head and snarled. My ears went down, along with my hope of surviving. It sprung to its four legs, charging out of the storage room. We dove for cover behind the front desk.
