*inside of my dream*

I hopped around a field, without a single care in the world. All but then all of a sudden something made me stop in my tracks. An elegant rainbow llama appeared in the distance and began to walk toward me. She had a trail of golden sparkles dancing around her legs as she walked. Around her neck she wore a necklace with glowing sliver star hanging from it. My blue eyes widened and my mouth hung open. "Is this really happening, like are you actually here. This isn't a prank, right?" I questioned, the words tumbling out of my mouth.

"Yes, Larry, this actually happening and I can assure you that this is not a prank" she said, with a voice like silk. "Wait, how do you know my name?" I asked her, but she brushed off my question "As you know, Larry if you wish to become a rainbow llama you must journey all the way to  the Rainbow Mountain. Along the way you will meet two others seeking what you wish, to become a rainbow guardian. Now, I must go, but I wish you a safe trip" The guardian began to walk away but she stopped to face me," Oh and Larry, do look out for the black and gold goblins that like to roam around the mountain, they're not very friendly" She said as began to fade away. "Wait a minute, there's still  so much I need to know!"

*In Real Life*

My eyes shot open and I sprang from where I had been sleeping. I looked around rapidly and I saw Sammy lifting his head off the ground. " What is it, Larry?" he asked, with his eyes still half closed. I stared at him, " SAM! DUDE, YOU'LL NEVER GUESS WHAT JUST HAPPENED!" I exclaimed. " What happened this time?" Sammy questioned, rolling his eyes, "Did u have that dream about the pine cones again? And could you keep it down. It's literally the middle of the night."
I couldn't contain excitement any longer. " A GUARDIAN VISITED ME!" I shouted. The look of sleep on Sammy's face was replaced with pure shock.
"Are you sure? Like did it really happen?" he urged, getting up and coming closer. "Yeah, she told me everything I have to do to become a guardian" I told him, " She also warned me about some trolls or whatever but I'm so ready."
" So, what are you going to do now?" Sammy asked. "Well, obviously, I'm gonna go become a guardian!" I laughed. " I mean, yeah, I know that but are you leaving now?" Sammy began, " Aren't you gonna need supplies?" I looked up at the moon, " I'm sure there's a store where I can pick up some stuff" I responded.
"There's a shop near the Rainbow Mountain" Sammy stated, looking at the ground. I looked back at him and I realized that becoming a guardian would mean leaving Sammy and the herd. " Hey, Sam, we'll always be friends and just think, maybe one day you'll become a guardian too!" I said, optimistically. "Hm, maybe," he replied, his eyes meeting mine, " We'll always be friends right?"
I smiled,"Best friends forever!" I beamed. Sammy's eyes lit up and he grinned. "Well, what are you waiting for then? Go become the greatest Rainbow guardian in the whole Rainbow Kingdom!" He exclaimed, nudging me towards the gate.
"Okay, okay I'm going!" I laughed. I trotted the rest of the distance to the herd fence. I inhaled and swung the gate open. I looked behind me and saw Sammy waving at me. I waved back before hesitantly letting go of the gate door. As I stepped out onto the dirt path, I felt powerful emotions burst inside of me. Courage, determination, anticipation all surged through my veins. I hiked up the grassy hill, adjacent to the herd's territory and looked back on my herd. I finally set off on my journey to become a Rainbow Guardian!

Meanwhile..

The Ancient Rainbow Guardian paced in his office, scoring his talons across the marble floor. The door swung open and three Guardians entered: a llama, a lioness, and a border collie, causing the Guardian to stop in his tracks. " Well?" He questioned, " Is it done?"
"Yes, all three of them have been informed" the collie reported. " Yeah, any particular reason you chose three subjects to be Guardians today?" The lioness nonchalantly asked, closing her eyes. The Ancient Rainbow Guardian's eyes turned to slits as he turned to face the lioness. He grabbed ahold of her necklace, which held a green amulet, and pulled her close till their faces were inches from one another. "Oh Azmaya, I do have my reasons. Reasons too great to share with a common Guardian such as yourself. Got it?"
The lioness swallowed and nodded. The great Guardian released the lioness from his grasp and she stumbled back. "Now out, all of you!" The Ancient Rainbow Guardian commanded. The three Guardians shuffled out, all whispering to each other. The dragon-like Guardian sat in his chair and stared out the window. Now all I have to do is wait...
