I weak up half way through the night with another bad dream. It was worse this time. They were after Riker not me. Riker sits up just after me and starts rubbing back back the tears rolling down my face. "It was about me this time wasn't it?" He spoke resting his head on mines, "how did you know?" I questioned stopping the tears from falling "you shouted my name before you woke up" he answered. I wrap my arms round him tightly still fighting back the tears "if they find me again don't put yourself in danger okay? Just run. I don't want them to hurt you again" it came out more as a whisper than anything else. He pulled away from my grasp and put his hands on my shoulders "I'm not letting them hurt you again, and I mean that we met for a reason and that was because I was meant to be the one to protect you, and I'm going to do that, I'll keep you safe" after he spoke he pulled me back in holding me tightly. We lay back down and I cuddle in to Riker again using his chest as my pillow, his arm around me holding me close to him. He makes me feel safe but I need to keep him safe too. I place my arm carefully on his chest making sure not to touch his ribs. He starts to sing softly. I close my eyes and let myself drift off not thinking of anything other than how perfect this moment is.
Morning came and Riker was up when I woke up, he hadn't moved though. "So today I'm going to tell everyone about you coming with us, we have a show tonight then we are off to the next stop, is that okay" he said helping me make the bed, "yeah that's fine" I replied simply. We got dressed and headed to meet everyone. Rydel, Ross, Rocky, and Ratliff all agreed to me tagging along witch was a relief. After they had all spoke Rydel walked over to me "it will do good to have another girl on the bus" she smiled and wrapped her arms around me for a hug "welcome to the family" she giggled and let go. Ross, Rocky and Ratliff all followed behind her they all gave me a hug but didn't say anything except Rocky "so does that mean on the bus everyone else will get to hear you sing?" He looked at me "ohh yeah I forgot about that you still need to sing for me" Riker added "we'll see okay?" I laughed.
The rest of the day passed pretty quickly and before I knew it we were heading for the venue for the show. They all walked off the bus and I followed behind. Their fans were screaming, they were all so loud no one really noticed I was there all I could hear was girls screaming all of their names. In side the venue it was a lot quieter until the meet and greet started, and all the fans started coming in. The show kicked off and they were all great. I found a spot at the side of the stage and stood and watched them all.
The bus was kind of weird there isn't much room so if anyone fell out it'd be awkward cause you couldn't get away from them, but it was lovely at the same him like a small house on wheels. The boys were all mucking around so I just sat and watched until Rydel came over. "Can I paint your nails" she smiled at me "sure" I smiled in return, I'm not one for doing my nails but it'll be nice to have a chat with a girl, not many of the girls I went to school with spoke to me. Rydel and I chatted while she painted my nails and the boys played x box, "lovely" she spoke proud of her work "I'm going to go to sleep now and leave the boys too it" she finished standing up, "yeah me too" I followed her to the bunks. I wasn't tired but I didn't want to sit on my own. I picked a bunk and lay in it, I think Rydel fell asleep pretty quickly as she didn't speak. All I could hear was the boys talking and playing x box. "So what's the deal with this girl then" I hear Ross say "she's been through a lot, she just needs someone to be there for her" Riker replys, "I bet you've got a thing for her" Rocky pipes in I hear a pause before anything else is said "ohh he does look at him" Ratliff chirps. I feel my face going red but I shake it off, Riker couldn't like me. He has all these girls screaming his name why would he want someone broken like me. "Shut up right, I'm only trying to be there for her" Rikers voice broke my thoughts. I was right. I knew he wouldn't like someone like me. I hear foot steps coming towards the bunks, I turn around to see Riker "I see you found my bunk" he laughs, "sorry I didn't mean to steal your bed again" I replied "do you mind if we share? Its just its nice to have someone to cuddle in to" he rubbed the back of his neck while talking, "um sure, I don't see why not" I half smiled at him, and in he climbed. His arm around me, my head on his chest my other arm rested on him, but tonight was different. Tonight he brought his had to meet mines and our fingers intertwined.
I didn't weak up through the night but I was woken up by Riker gently shaking me. "You had another nightmare" he whispered pulling me in closer to him "was it bad?" I asked "you didn't seem scared this time just really upset, you were crying and I hated seeing you cry so I thought I'd save you from your dream" he whispered once more. "You know you can't save me forever" I replied, he looked me in the eye, leaned in close to me his lips almost pressed on my ear "I can sure as hell try" he spoke and kissed my cheek.
