Ciel groaned and rolled over as Sebastian threw open the curtains letting a stream of light pierce through the windows directly onto the bed. Swiftly Sebastian glided over to the oversized bed and prodded Ciel until he provoked a response. The butler went on to dress the earl when Ciel interrupted,
"Prepare a carriage, Elizabeth and I will be going into town for the day,".
"Gladly young master where are we going?" Sebastian asked a sickly smile on his face, something that really didn't suit him.
"You aren't joining us. You will be staying here and preparing a feast for tonight, we will be missing lunch." Ciel announced without letting an ounce of emotion taint his words. Sebastian felt a draft of disappointment wash over him as he politely apologised and continued to dress him. Breakfast passed and the two left the house into the carriage and down the long driveway.
It had begun to turn dark outside and Sebastian had started to worry about the safety of the two teens. Just as he started to panic the two burst through the main doors each clutching a few bags. Sebastian rushed over to the breathless children,
"Are you alright, it's awfully late, young master!" Ciel turned around to Sebastian taking a moment to catch his breath.
"I'm fine Sebastian, we did a lot today! Is the dinner prepared yet we are starving!" Sebastian sighed in relief and chuckled at the young boy,
"You certainly are just a little child," he smirked "Dinner will be served in just 5 minutes, if you come and take a seat you can have some tea while you wait!" Dinner was served and Sebastian observed the two from the corner of the room mostly focusing on Ciel. He swept his eyes over the boys changing face, he was a flower caught in a storm that was never meant to be. Although he never liked to admit it Ciel was a very emotional boy but he kept it locked away for no one's eyes but his own. Everything he had was taken and now he was holding on to all he had left, the years of suffering showed on his face. The worn skin that had seen too much for its time and tired eyes that were desperate for peace. Sebastian almost felt sorry for the boy, all that was left from the beautiful jewel was pieces of broken fragments stuck together in a messy rushed manner.
Almost as quickly as it started dinner ended leaving the two teens worn out and ready for bed. Just like the previous night Sebastian led Ciel to his room and helped him into his pyjamas.
"I didn't have time to tell you earlier but the queen sent ahead a letter," Ciel woke up a little from his dosed mood and sat upright
"What did it say?" the boy almost on the edge of the bed looking as if he were about to get up.
"She mentioned a case deep in London, there have been multiple Murders. Each victim was found to have stayed at the same hotel only a day before each of their deaths. She would like you to visit the hotel undercover and stay there for a night or two to investigate. What's more, she booked you a place for tomorrow."
"Tomorrow, oh well I guess I will have to tell Elizabeth, Sebastian go and arrange for something for her to do while we are away and pre-make all of her meals, I don't want Baldaroy making any of her meals" Ciel spoke as he snuggled down into his bed.
"Yes, my lord" Sebastian replied before bowing and leaving the room
