Sebastian X Ciel Fanfic

The kiss

Unlike the previous night Sebastian awoke his master, they ate breakfast and prepared to return to the manor. Just as they climbed into the carriage Ciel noticed a bag with some spare clothes at Sebastian's side. Noticing that his master had seen the clothes he decided to let him in on the plan.

"While gathering the information I found out that a specific flower could hide your scent from the demons, I managed to wash some spare clothes in it for you to get changed into. Then I will take your current clothes a distance away where I will lure them and swiftly end their lives." He handed over the clothes to his master and closed the curtains to help him get changed. They stuffed the clothes back into the bag and while the carriage was still moving the butler jumped out to pursue the demons leaving the boy alone in the carriage.

It seemed like forever for the journey to be over but sure enough eventually he reached the manor, fortunately it was still standing. He made his way inside carrying the smallest bag he could carry. Once he was inside he was greeted by everyone in the manor.

"Welcome back master!" each servant cheered as a very excited Elizabeth flung herself on top of Ciel.

"I'm glad to be back, London certainly is a horrible place at times. Finny could you bring in the rest of the bags and take them to my room?"

Sebastian wasn't often late but these particular demons had proved very persistent, they had even ripped quite a few holes in his tailcoat. He was slightly hoping he could make it in time to be there for Ciel when he came home. The butler didn't like to leave his master alone even for a second in fear of losing him somehow and because of this fact found himself running through the forest a lot faster than he normally would. The occasional branch would slap him across the face leaving small red marks and cuts over his face but he didn't really care, he just wanted to get back to the mansion. Each second past felt like a decade. After what was actually only probably a few minutes the raven haired demon came to a halt at the front of the driveway. The young master's carriage was already there making him hope he hadn't made the boy wait too long like the before. He fixed his hair and wiped his face clean to make himself as presentable as he could for his young master - although this proved impossible due to his ruined suit. He swung the doors open to greet his young master again when his heart stopped. His eyes widened and the stabbing pain returned only this time all over his body accompanied by goosebumps. At the top of the large stairs stood Ciel and Lady Elizabeth. Elizabeth's arms were wrapped around the boy's and his hands were on the girl's face. Their lips were interlocked. It only took Ciel a second to realize his butler at the bottom of the stairs causing his to pull away from Elizabeth to face his butler. He needed to explain. He needed to talk to his butler. But he didn't get a chance as the older man walked away into the servant's quarters. His heart dropped at the thought of what his butler had just witnessed. He dismissed the young lady and proceeded to his office.

Ciel found it incredibly awkward later that day when Sebastian came into his office to clean. He turned his chair away from the desk and stood up. Sebastian continued to clean not making any sort of eye contact. If his master obviously only thought of him as a butler than a butler, he was going to be.

"Look Sebastian, let me explain," the young boy started, his voice was uneasy and it was obvious even he was unsure of what he was saying.

"What is there to explain young master? She is your fiancée is she not?" the man replied unable to stop his words from sounding toxic.

"Yes but it didn't mean anything, I came in when I got back and we started to talk. She brought up that her parents had started to push the idea of having a wedding soon when she confessed her love to me," this just made Sebastian more irritated. "I didn't know what to say and then she kissed me, I tried to push her away but it didn't work, then you came in!". Both of them went silent waiting for something to happen when Sebastian broke the silence.

"I seem to be done in this room, is there anything I can get you?" the butler said putting on an obviously fake smile. The boy stopped for a moment and sighed. He couldn't believe her was about to do this.

"Sebastian...?" He said looking down at the floor. His eyes started to tear up and he found himself speechless. The man bowed and left the room, silence fell over the boy. What had he done?
