"Officer Ryliegh!"

Napalingon ako kung sino ang tumawag sa'kin.

"Lieutenant!" Naglakad ako patungo kay Lieutenant Jones. Siya ang sadya ko dito sa airport kaya nga lang nagkagulo at nawitness ako sa pangyayari.

"Officer Timm just rang my phone, may nangyari dito sa WHIA?"

(WHIA-Water Heights International Airport)

"Unfortunately, yes. I'm one of the crime witness." I answered. "It's been twenty minutes since nangyari yon, staffs have already evacuated the civilians for questioning and interrogation and I've already cleared the crimescene for our investigation, yet the team hasn't arrived yet." Ani ko sabay tingin sa relo ko. What's with the slow response? I mean, it's been fifteen minutes.

"Ah, let's just wait for their arrival. Fifteen minutes is just the approximate time, is it?" Lieutenant then fixed his sunglasses. I just shrugged and witnessed the time added another minute to count.

"Lieutenant!" Napalingon kami sa likod ko.

"Oh! Officer Rence! Just in time!" Lieutenant greeted them.

Naglakad kami papalapit sa kanila na kakarating lang.

Lumapit ako kay Rence. He's one of the forensics in our team department, "You guys are late." Ani ko sabay kinuha ang fingerprint kit ko sa kanya at binuksan ito.

"We arrived after fifteen minutes of your report." Sabi nya sabay bukas sa kit nya, "The SWAT team was outside settling things down."

I ticked my tongue, "The suspects already flew away. Their response was late too. And for your information, it's been twenty minutes." I tapped my wrist watch with my fingers.

Rence chuckled, "You've always been a time freak, Officer Dequine. Kaya wala kang boyfriend e." Pang-aasar n'ya kaya napataas isa kong kilay, "Anong connect nito sa lovelife ko, ha?" Tumawa lang s'ya at napailing-iling.

Napalingon ako sa crime scene at nakitang pumasok si Timm Rae Jeon do'n dala-dala ang sarili n'yang kit.

"Bakit nandito ang lalaking 'yan?" Tukoy ko sa Timm Rae Jeon na 'yon. He acts both as a detective and a forensic officer of our team. I can't deny that I was mesmerized by his presence when he was assigned on our department three years ago because he finished a lot of PhDs, and I abhor the facts that I was.

Rence chuckled again,"Maaga s'ya sa office kanina kaya s'ya 'yong sumagot ng report mo sa radio phone."

Both of my brows raised in astonishment, "Ah, that's a little surprising." The guy who only talks once in a blue moon responded my report, e? Should I consider myself lucky hearing a few of his words?

It still pisses me off that he's not answering me everytime I ask him questions professionally. He's acting deaf and always have a smirk on his face everytime he sees someone pissed off because of his arrogance.

"Surprise~ha-ha-ha!"sarkastikong wika ni Rence tsaka nagsuot ng rubber gloves at naglakad papasok sa crime scene.

Sumunod nalang ako sa kanya papunta roon.

Inangat ko ang barricade tape para makapasok ako sa crime scene at isinuot ang rubber gloves ko para maiwasang hawakan ang bagay na nahawakan ng mga suspect and wandered around looking for evidences with my camera.

"What do we have here... " I knelt down at kinunan ng litrato ang baril sa sahig. Naalala ko kanina na nabitawan ito ng suspect noong inisprayhan s'ya ng babae sa kanyang mga mata.
