A Murder of Crows (Levi x OC - Modern Day - Attack on Titan/Shingeki no Kyojin)

Chapter 2 - The Weekend

    The alarm rang, a half-awoken Levi stretched his arm out and slams the alarm with an open palm, hitting the button and making it stop. He slowly arose from his bed, wiping the sleep from his eyes. Stretching, he noticed he forgot to set the alarm for an earlier time to get up for going out with Eren, it was 1:30pm. This of course was nothing for Levi to be bothered about, he turned and rose from his bed and slowly made his way to the bathroom.

He brushed his teeth and begrudgingly headed for the shower. It wasn't until 1:48pm Levi decided to get out the shower and get dressed, he walks into the bedroom, a towel wrapped loosely around his waist. He noticed a bus driving past his window, it was a Titan-High school bus.

    "Strange," Levi thought to himself, "it's the weekend and the bus was full of students, maybe some weekend school activity?" As he pondered to him self, he heard laughing, and his eyes looked a little lower, there was Eren, Armin and Mikasa, Eren and Armin were laughing and pointing at his window, Mikasa was shielding her eyes, it was only by this time that Levi noticed his towel had slipped a little too far down for his liking. 

   "Gah!" He yelped, covering his manhood with his one hand and closing his curtain with the other.

    He continued to get dressed, and slowly walked downstairs, patting himself down to make sure he has everything he needed, phone, wallet and a small mirror to secretly check his appearance, just in case a hair moved out of place.

    He opens the door to Eren and Armin giggling and Mikasa blushing.

    "Grow up and let's go," Levi says, making sure his belt it tightened up.

     "Sorry, Levi!" Armin said, "We need to go, you're already 10 minutes late!"

    "Tch, whatever." Levi replied, walking at a faster pace than the others.

    Sasha ran a small ramen business not far from the school, it's only a 20 minute walk from Levi's place, most his school friends lived on the same street, or at least around the same area. 

    They started getting closer to the ramen bar.

    "What are you going to have this time, Armin?" Eren asked.

    "Something less spicy than last time! You guys must have no taste-buds what-so-ever!" Armin said.

    "Heh, you thought the level 7 ramen was spicy? You should try what Mikasa has, but I wouldn't even dare recommend Levi's ramen choice!" Eren exclaimed, mouth salivating as the thought of super spicy ramen.

    They arrived at the bar, Sasha had her back turned to them as they walked in as she was busy preparing some of the food, the bar was empty, apart from a girl already sat at the bar, which is pretty unusual but that also had it's benefits, sometimes there were gang members from Titan-High, willing to start a fight with any Trost school goers. 

    "Hey Sasha! It's us!" Eren shouts, as they all take a seat, Levi having nowhere else to sit at the bar other than the space between Mikasa and the other girl that was in here.

    Sasha turns around, over enthused as always.

    "HEYYYYY! I'm so glad you guys came! Especially you Levi!" Sasha looks at him, almost drooling at the sight of him. 

    "Hi, Sasha." Levi mumbled, avoiding conversation at all costs.

    "What will it be guys? The usual?" Sasha asked.

    The ramen was served in a variety of flavours and then a level of spiciness, level 1 being non-spicy to level 10 being the most spicy. 

   Eren spoke for the group, assuming the leadership role, "Armin will have the level 2 pork ramen, I will have the level 6 chicken, for Mikasa a level 8 chicken and for Levi a level 10 pork ramen please!"

    "Sure thing!" Sasha assured them, finishing writing the order on a small notepad. "Coming right up!"

    Levi's nose twitched, he could smell something, something good, it was the girl's food next to him, his eyes and nose drifted over to the bowl, he could tell it was a level 10 just by the scent of it, but this was with shrimp and squid. This impressed Levi, and he had a quick glance at the girl, she had a pale complexion and blood red crimson hair, she was checking her phone in her pocket closest to the wall so she was turned away. Levi continued to look at her, she was wearing a black shirt, with some kind of logo or band name on her chest, dark jean shorts with thick black tights.

The girl turned around to Levi checking her out, Levi looked up and made eye contact before quickly turning around to Mikasa and the others to hide his blush.

   "Hello." The girl said.

    The colour ran out of Levi's face, he gulped and turned to the girl.

    "Hey, I notice you got the level 10 seafood special, not often you see many people with my tolerance of spiciness." Levi answered, for some reason it found it easier talking to this girl than many others.

   "Yeah, this it the best fast-food place in town, the food is great here!" She giggled, looking into Levi's eyes. "Sorry I haven't introduced myself properly, I'm Areku, what's your name?"

    "Areku? Unusual name, I'm Levi." He scratched the back of his head.

    "My parents loved it, so they named it me, it is strange but I like it!" Areku giggled again. "Nice to meet you Levi!"

    "And you." Levi said with his usual unenthused tone, checking that his friends weren't listening in to him, luckily there were all having a conversation between themselves. "I haven't seen you around before, are you new here?"

    "I've live not too far from here, I've lived there all my life, I go to Titan-High, I'm guessing you go to Trost right?" She questioned.

    "Yeah, that will probably be why then." Levi pointed out, as he and his friends started receiving their ramen.

    "Order up!" Sasha shouted, with some food around her mouth, looks like she was testing the ramen a little too much before serving it up. "For you Levi..." She said dreamily, handing him his bowl, his pork was laid out in a heart shape.

    "T-thank-you, Sasha." He glumly said.

    "You're very welcome." Sasha replied.

    The group started tucking into their ramen, Areku went back to her phone before getting a pen from her pocket and scribbling on her receipt.

    "Hey Levi, who's your new girlfriend?" Eren joked, nodding his head at Areku, Levi and Areku blushed.

    "S-silence you cretin!" Levi shouted, hiding his face with his ramen bowl. Areku said nothing, just silently blushed, getting more red.

    "Heh, you always were one with the ladies, right Le-" Before Eren could finish his sentence, Levi threw his chopstick at him, hitting him in the forehead. "Ow!" Mikasa gave a slight elbow into Levi's ribcage.

    "Hold your tongue, Eren." Mikasa said, "You know Levi doesn't like you teasing him."

    The group finished their meal, paid their bill and said their goodbyes to Sasha. As they were walking out the bar, Areku was stood outside, she confronted Levi.

    "Here," she said, stopping Levi and handing him a piece of paper. "Make sure you call me sometime, okay?" It was the receipt she wrote on earlier, she wrote a her number on the bottom with her name and a kiss.

    "Thank-you." Levi said, taking the paper and putting it in his back pocket as if it was a chewing gum wrapper.

    "See you around!" She winked before heading off down the street.

    Levi turned around to his friends, they were giggling, even Mikasa.

    "S-shut up all of you!" He yelled.

    "Come on Levi, lighten up! We've still got the rest of our day to go.

   The entourage walk into the town centre to find something else to do.

    All Levi could think about was her.
