Sorry about the chapter title, but I am glad that I finally got this chapter up, I have had it written for a while but I kept on forgetting and before I knew it well, six months has passed by. Thanks for the pm inboxes of encouragement to continue the story.

Uniforms. In the past I had always associated uniforms with conformity. Being forced to wear uniforms was the tip of the iceberg. I didn’t see why it was necessary for students to wear uniforms, normal college students didn't wear uniforms to class... The rule required us to wear a uniform in classes and then during practice or drills our suits.

The suits are milder versions of the suits we will use in the real combat.

I took out my uniform; it is 5:30 in the morning, which also meant it was time for me to get ready for the day. I seemed to be the only one up once again, but I was not surprised considering I was probably the only one that did yoga first thing in the morning.  I examined the uniform one more time the plaid looked ridiculous for a military academy. There was a blazer with a skirt, not too bad. Girls were given the option of wearing either pants or a skirt. Khakis however were not and never had been my thing and they never would be. I chose the skirt along with a blue blouse. Apparently the blouses came in red, white, or blue to encourage moral of the country although at this point it probably should have been the morale of the world at this point. I considered not wearing the blazer but then I realized that here probably wasn't the best place for me to decide to stand out.

I put the ensemble on and walk down the hall. My hair was braided into a loose fishtail from my yoga session. While unpacking I lost my black flats so I opted for my combat boots instead. I figured they would I give my outfit some flare or at least a slight edge.

I considered waking up the rest of my roommates but then decided it might be best for me to walk around before anyone else woke up. I spotted a yellow ribbon on the ground, it looked so out of place that I picked it up and put it in my hair at the bottom of my braid. It added the spark that I was looking for to give this uniform some life. This was supposed to be a military school not a catholic school house. I headed over to the cafeteria where a head bobbed in front of me. I am the only student that practices yoga in the morning but that doesn’t mean that I'm alone every morning some people actually choose to do extra running.

Today was going to be my first day of school, well military school anyway. I barely have any friends and everyone already thinks I'm a nut.Go big or go home. Roll call starts at 8.

I walk over to where I saw the guy jogging to. He wasn’t on my bus so I knew he either came from far or arrived at camp a good time before me. When I tried to say ‘good morning’ he saw me then walked away. I attempted to be cordial but it's difficult when someone is walking away.

I looked around and waited for someone to yell ‘rejected’ at me, then I remembered most people are still asleep.

I made my way towards my room to wake Erica up so we could head to the cafeteria together. When I reached my room, I walked in to see a mess and 3 slobs still in slumber. My bed is the only bed made, with unregulated blankets of course. I shake Jennet gently then I take Erica’s blankets right off her. I contemplated waking Hanna up for almost a second but it was pretty much already a lost cause, some people just can't be helped. I might as well just leave her to her own devices and see if she can wake up by herself.

Erica and Janelle moved like turtles to the bathrooms, other girls have the same idea so the way to the bathroom makes the hall look like we are going through a zombie apocalypse instead of an alien one. I know there is already a really long line to the showers, the later it gets the longer the lines will get. I walk by a pen near my bed, for a second I am reminded of my old mischievous ways.
