Why do I Exist

Episode One

I sat at the edge of the Golden Gate bridge looking down at the water. I had left a note for my only living relative, my brother. I was sitting there deciding weather or not to make the jump. Behind me I heard a siren come on the bridge. I stood up deciding to jump. As I looked back over the edge the water looked soft to land on. As my left foot left the edge I heard skidding tires behind me.

"STOP!" shouted a voice.

I looked over my shoulder and see a police officer slowly walking towards me. He had deep blue eyes, a coat of silver fur, and a look of worry. As he came closer I finally came to my senses and grabbed the bridge support. He saw this and held out a hand.

"Take my hand. You're safe" he said.

I grabbed his hand and he helped me down. Next thing I knew I was walked to his car, a 2015 Ford Mustang, and I was placed in the back. As the officer got in he pulled out a radio and pulled out.

"Central this is Officer Casik. I have the suicide victim in my possession awaiting further instructions" the cop said.

Casik, that's a cute name.

"10-4, we are still getting information. Stand by for more" I heard a female voice say.

"Hey what's your name kid?" Casik asked.

"My name is Alex Irontail" I said.

I heard him chuckle.

"I know who you are. I live right across from you. By the way the name is..." Casik said before I interrupted.

"Casik" I said.

"Central to Officer Casik. Victim is to be under suicide watch" the woman from central said.

"10-4. I'm taking Alex to his house so I can watch him" Casik replied.

"10-4."

The ride to my house was a long one but as soon as I got home Casik gave me a pat on the back.

"Now that I have to watch over you, would you like to go see a movie I'm off tomorrow?" Casik said.

I nodded and we went our separate ways. That night I dreamt of Casik holding me on his shoulders to see a parade. I smiled as I dreamt on.
