RIKKARD'S P.O.V.

"Ye OK lad?" The old fisherman asked as he helped me onto his boat, "how're ye feeling?"

"Adequate." My voice and expression were as cold as the water.

"No need to use this attitude with me when ye're 'ere in this situation kid, I could just put you back on the raft ye were depending on." Once I settled in his worn out wooden boat that would easily collapse if we added a few more grams in it, I gave him the coldest stare I could, a glare that reminded me of the one person that could ignore it.

"So err... were ye on that ship that sunk two days ago lad?" The elder gave me a jug of what I assumed was fresh water, even with my parched throat, I took a small sip. Drinking too much is a waste of time.

I looked away, my face stoic with emotions as I recalled the events that happened the night of the accident.

"Mr. Ambrose!" Her voice still rings in my ears, and it pains me to think about what happened that unfortunate evening.

I have failed her, I no longer am a gentleman. That will make my reputation downfall and I could no more produce money.

Yes, that certainly is why I am upset.

"Lad, ye okay? I 'aven't caught ye're name by the way."

I kept looking the other side, as I closed my eyes, more memories flooding back.

"No! Don't do this! Please!"

"Ye son of a gun, stop ignoring ye're elders and answer me!" The sailor snapped "No respect for the ones who age these days."

I sent one of my glares to his direction shutting him up.

"Where are you heading to?" I ask him, wondering where I've ended up.

"Brighton, lad." He answered me, raising an eyebrow as if waiting for me to tell him where I reside.

Like I would do that, he could be one of Daniel's spies anyway.

Not even giving him the time of day, he got the hint that I won't respond to him, and sighed in defeat.

"This generation, I swear."

LILLY'S P.O.V.

"Ow. Ow. Ow. Ow. Ow. Ow. Ow. OWE!" I exclamed with pain.

The hushed whispers of nearby citizens filled my ears as they looked at us with weird expressions.

Well I don't really blame them, the sight of a teenage girl being dragged by her aunt by the ear across Green Park is a sight to see.

Really.

"Aunt Branks, aunt Branks you're hurting me- OW!"

"You've seen nothing yet young lady, this is just part of your punishment! You missed out on a lot of wealthy and unwedded men at the balls we had to substain ourselves from going, just for your absence!" She tugged more on my ear and sped up her pace, "Is that what you wanted?" She asked rhetorically.

But yes actually, that's exactly what I wanted.

"Okay okay, I'm sorry I'm sorry! NOW LET GO OF MY EA-OWWWWW"

She tugged even harder and fastened her pace, "You ungrateful brat! How dare you speak to your elders that way?" She growled, opening the gate to our house.

After walking through the pathway, she opened the door with her free hand, the other gripping my ear with a death grip.

I'm sure I won't be able to feel it for a while.
