SIRIUS LOOKED BACK at the blur of Melanie's figure and smirked as he turned back around.

"Well done, Wormtail." He said, patting Peter Pettigrew on the shoulder. Peter smiled, happy that he was recognized for doing something to please someone, and returned to his happy state.

James Potter shook his head at Sirius and sat down sighing.

"It's not good to make her angry Wormtail, you should know that," he said in a concerned voice.

"But it's not like she doesn't start it," Peter responded, getting defensive.

"When does she ever start it, Peter?" James asked.

"When she asks why we sit at this table like she owns it. We can sit wherever we want."

Both James and Peter were starting to get wound up, and Sirius could tell. Not wanting them to continue bickering any longer, he stepped into the conversation.

"It doesn't matter who started it, all that matters is that she's gone now, so forget about it."

James stood down from the argument with a huff, and Peter happily returned to his meal like nothing happened.

Sirius looked back at the door of the Great Hall to see nothing. Still, he smirked remembering how angry she became.

James glanced at his friend for a while, then looked to Remus to him doing the same. James nudged Remus and they smirked as Remus closer his book, putting his bookmark in it.

"Hey Sirius," Remus started.

"You seem like you fancy Melanie the way you look."

Sirius's smile faltered and he responded sternly.

"No, I don't."

James and Remus snickered.

"Are you sure, mate? It's okay if you have a tiny crush on her. We won't -"

"Stop, James. I know what you're trying to do."

James and Remus burst out laughing. As James took off his glasses and wiped his eyes, he spoke, still laughing.

"I'm sorry, it's just that you look at her like you do."

James put his glasses back on to see Sirius clearly.

"I won't speak about again, if that's what you want."

"Please," Sirius responded.

James nodded and the day continued as usual.
