Blazes, known for their stamina in battling, are the personification of fire; passionate with burning eyes, but a loving heart. A Blaze Ruler or Ruler In Training would have the colours of their appearance changed in Ruler Forme: Red and gold hair, tanned skin and bright, burning blue eyes. They are usually fast, confident people, who's thoughts and emotions can change as quick as a candle's flicker.

I walk up the crusty, sandy, grey hill where I see some familiar faces. There's Black Diamond, Sophia Flamewalker from Year 7, Ash Crookwick and... well, all of the kids seven or over in my house. I've noticed they all have that passionate and confident thing about them. Not to be messed with, I make a mental note. Vanessa strolls up to me.
"So how was the test?" Vanessa asks.
I sigh. "Long story short, I have to go to every training session - Blaze, Greytail, Kestral, Mist and Thorn."
"Really?! Why?"
I tell her that the test showed that I have powers from every tribe. I hope she wasn't expecting some weird love story or something. Don't blame me - she always does.
"Alright! Blazes!" Wow, it's Gerrard! "Today we are - oh Blu, what a surprise! So you're a Blaze? Awesome! Knew you had it! Does me proud! Won't she be a gem in our community!"
Mortified and embarrased in front of one fifth of our school, I say, "Not exactly, it's complicated, but I'll be joining you guys for this session..."
"Okay, great! Moon Learners, left side of the Spark Hill, Moon Flyers, right. Blu, you'll be with the Learners with Matthew for now. It's just a bit more that 2 months until the end of the Blaze year! That's when you'll have your Kindling - so we've got to be prepared for May!" says a woman - Tez!
Gerrard goes to our group. "Okay, kids, we're going to be practising burning fire in the palms of our hands. I'm sure many of you have already tried this, but for starters, this is what we'll do." He walks over to me and Matthew, and speaks more quietly. "Since it's you're first time I'm going to show you how to do it, okay?"
We nod.
"First fill up with lots and lots of energy... think about something that excites you." I think about learning loads of new powers and how to change to faerie forme. "Now feel that energy run through your body.... through your veins.... all the way to the palms of your hands." Matthew was red in the face. "Now - release all that energy through the pams of your hands!"
Matthew waited, but nothing happened; a flicker of gold leaped in my palms. Maybe I'll like this.

Greytail Training: Tuesdays
Greytails, known for their tricks and stealth, are the human counterparts of animals, mostly cats and wolves, The Book of Aether states; strong and every-person-for-themselves kind of people, but can be extremely loyal to members their close friends and family. A Greytail Ruler or Ruler In Training would have the colours of their appearance changed in Ruler Forme: Browns, greys, gingers, auburns and soft blonde and gold hair, with naturall highlights, and an agile body. They are usually quick, self-loving, popular people. They have the agile and flexible bodies and hearing sensed of wolves and cats.
