Chapter 3 - Time Consuming Thoughts
"He said I love you and you didn't say it back?!" Erica pierced through my ears while stirring her coffee dramatically. I flinched at her question suddenly moving my eyes up then to the side, pouting my lips to think.
"W-Well, I uh said it back. But not exactly."
"You said it back, huh. Did you say I love you or-"
"-I said ditto!" Interrupting her in between and bit my lip in confusion while her Adam Apple eyes bobbed out at me in disappointment. Oh yes, here come her mother load of a lecture...
"Victoria Evans! I am so disappointed at you! Why the fu*ck didn't you say it back for. I mean we are talking about the guy you've spent two years with. Two years!" She almost yelled while dropping her spoon drastically on the plate as we got a disturbing glances from the two suited men next to us from the commotion she was making.
"Rikki, calm the hell down. It's not a big deal."
"Not a big deal! I wanna shoot you right now! How could you have not said it back Vic, he's like your soul partner and the father of your future babies for fu*ck sake."
And it shot me right there. The words future brings nothing but chills throughout my body again and again. All of a sudden my mood changes and I turn quiet as If nothing had happened moments before and each time I do it, I end up thinking too much.
"Hey Vicky snap out of it- over here!" Erica clicked both her fingers in front of me as I awoken out of my thoughts. "What?"
"You seem to be be in your own world lately, what's up?" She asked me, lifting my eyes up to meet her gaze. "Oh so now you act like my best friend. What happened with your inspiration speech, mother?"
"Ha, very funny. But...seriously when are you going to start making babies with Mr-"
"-oops is that the time, gosh we need to start leaving!" I gasped checking my imaginary watch on my wrist and stood up from my seat grabbing my coat from the body of the chair.
Erica did the vice versa and hummed continuously 'Say I do I do I do' as we got out the café I looped my arms around hers and replied her with a shut the fu*ck up sweetie face.
"You do know your boyfriend is the owner of the firm." I nodded in agreement and looked at her in confusion. "Yeah, so?"
"Then why the hell are we going back to work when he won't give a-"
"-Erica! Shut up and let's go!" I chuckled back as our heels hit the grounds of New York, hailing for a taxi.

"When I said get me the documents to the previous conference, I fuck*ing meant it John. And now we are past the deadline!" I heard a voice yelling from Damon's office and me and Riki looked at each other wide eyes as I made my way quietly through the double glass doors.
Oh boy.
"You are so fuck*ing useless, now we are three weeks behind schedule and we have a ongoing contract for this client too who's coming in two days. Two fuck*ing days!" Damon hissed again at his PA while I looked at the poor fellow, scared to his life as he backed away each time Damon's face would rise closer to him in anger.
