Chapter 2 - Moving On
Ezra's POV
"Austin! Tee, hurry up guys! Your both getting late!" I yelled upstairs and throughout the house while opening the front door including grabbing Tee's book and gym bag.
"We're coming Daddy. We're just doing something- very quickly! Austin no it's my go to talk to her!" I hear her replying from upstairs and lean against the wall with my eyes focused on the clock.
What the hell are they getting up to?
And within seconds I hear small steps run down followed by mediocre ones as they both fought to who comes down first. "What were you both doing?" I looked at both of them with the love of concern and I got a sigh as a reply from either.
"We were saying bye to mommy, daddy. Have you forgotten we always talk to her and kiss her photo every time we go to bed and school?" Tee reasoned folding her arms and gave me a stern look of as if. I looked at both of them and smiled, dropping all the belongings in my hands and crouched down to their height to give them a big embrace.
How can I forget! That was their only way of remembering her and not even that it was the only way they could feel her presence.
"You know mommy loves you forever right. Even though she's not here, she still loves you both." I muttered to both of them on either of my shoulders as the waterline of my eyes blurred a teeny amount.
"And mommy loves you more daddy because I promised her I won't ever let you cry and look what your doing!" Tee squealed as they both came out of my embrace and wi
wiped my cheeks with her miniature hands, smiling at her with closed eyes."And when did mommy say that princess?" I questioned brushing out her long brown locks.
"In my dreams daddy, even Austin had dreams about mommy too."
"Yeah daddy I do too. She said to me that I should always take care of Tee and hit anyone that hurts her!" Austin almost whispered to me nodding his head as I laughed at their remarks.
"Knock knock! Spencer coming in with another child!" A voice lingered from behind the front door, revealing Spencer and Katy.
"Katy! My best friend!" Austin yelled running towards her in a hug. Yes, even though Austin and Katy are nine months apart, they were by far one of the closest four year olds I have ever witnessed.
I mean even Toby imagined them being together when they're older, but that just left me with piles of anxiety that Aria will never be able to see this, ever...
"Hey Ezra, hello you heard me?" Spencer rung around me pacing her hand in front of my face back and forth as I shut my thought out."Huh, what?"
"I said do you want me to drop Tee and Aus off. Because of you know, urm today is Aria's - well yeah." She reasoned giving me a look of sorrow and grief as I replied with a nod.
"Hey you guys! Why don't you wait in the car!" And within seconds only me and Spencer were left in the hallway.
"How you holding up?" Spencer questioned in concern. I placed my hands in the pockets of my jeans and pursed my lips together in a grim line, unable to react.
