Chapter 11

This chapter is dedicated to @KimTracey because honestly she reminded me that I haven't update in a long time. I'm really sorry about that guys, I know I've kinda let a lot of you down but keep in mind I am a freshman in College and it's getting super close exam week and super super stressful situations (as college is) and I'm actually not a writing major so that makes it that much harder to set apart time for that. I promise I will do so much better moving forward and after the 19th I will have so much more time to write. So leave a comment on your favorite story letting me know that's what you want updated and I will get on it ASAP!

Chapter 11

    After the hunters incident Hayden and I just ended up running around in our wolf forms. He was so attractive as a wolf. I shook my head at the thought. I was glad he couldn't hear all my thoughts...or could he.

    Yup! Loud and clear Babe! I heard him chuckle into my head.

    That's not fair! I can't read your mind.

    Oh, but it is fair my young, perfect mate. Besides, you won't get that power until we are truly one.

    Do I want to know what that's suppose to mean?

    Think about it.

    He means sex you dork! I jumped a mile and stopped dead in my tracks. What the heck was that?!?!

    What's wrong? Hayden whimpered as he walked over to me.

    I'm hearing voices! I yelped.

    No, you're hearing me...I'm your wolf...

    Athena!

    Exactly. I'm sorry we haven't had the chance to talk much. This is a bit new for me.

    Yeah, fair enough...

    Kaily, everything okay? I heard Hayden again.

    Yeah, just my wolf. He gave a wolfy grin.

    Damn, he's sexy.

    Athena!

    What? He's our mate, better get use to the idea. Besides, I know you think he is too. YOU just won't admit it.

    Yeah. He is pretty fine. In my head we both just chuckled. I felt so connected to her already.

    You ready to head back? Hayden asked.

    Yeah.

    With that we both raced back to find our whole pack shifted and waiting anxiously for us. I looked at Hayden with confusion. He just gave another Wolfy grin and a strong howl emerged from his snout. That's when a chorus of howls began from my pack. Hmmm, my pack, I like the sound of it. I decided to follow the rest of them and give a beautiful howl as well. It felt so freeing. It was as if there was nothing that could stand in our way, we were invincible.

    After that was done everyone started shifting and that's when I realized something. They were all naked! Hayden fell over and started rolling on the ground making a weird sort of chuckling noise. It certainly was different, but I guessed as much that he was laughing at me. Laughing...At ME! I growled and he finally stopped.

    Sorry but your reaction was priceless!

    Well, it would have helped if some had warned me everyone was going to be in the nude! I did not need to see that!

    Kaily, you may want to get use to it. That is our life. Nudity is pretty much ignored here because when we shift that's the way we are. It's the most natural form.

    It's so awkward though! He nodded with a small smile.

    Yeah, I know it is the first little while but I'm sure you'll get use to it.

    "Here ya go you two." Andrew smiled, as he walked out of the pack house carrying a bag full of clothes. "I wasn't sure what you'd each want so I got you a decent selection. I know most females prefer dresses so there is one of those in there Kaily." Andrew poured the contents out and my favorite strapless white dress fell out. I yipped with glee. That would be perfect. Hayden nodded to Andrew and he chuckled as he walked back into the house but not before turning around and looking at us.

    "I can't stay around to see the show?"

    Suddenly Hayden growled at him and his little brother laughed his head off before running his butt off into the back house. What show? Crap, am I supposed to change out here? All of a sudden I heard rustling beside me and there stood Hayden in all his glory. In an instant I shifted just from the pure shock of him standing there in the nude.

    "Holy Crap! Put on some clothes!" Hayden jumped a mile before looking down at me. His eyes went wide as they scanned me up and down. Then his eyes turned a dark shade of gold and he gave a sort of growl before shaking his head and turning away.

    "I could say the same to you..." His voice sounded husky. I looked down and yelped, trying to cover myself but failing miserably. Finally, after pulling on some jeans Hayden turned towards me. "Here." He held out my dress to me and I shuffled quickly into it, and bolted into the house out of embarrassment. That was absolutely mortifying!

    Oh, no it wasn't did you see the way he looked at you???

    More like ogling! He probably thinks the worst now. I'm just some dumb little kid.

    Looked more like appreciation for what you've got to me. Trust me, he wants you bad now. It's in his wolf instinct to want you, seeing you now just makes it that much more intense.

    Probably not. I groaned as I leaned up against the wall in the apartment. Suddenly, Hayden was there and pressed me up against the wall and inhaled my scent deeply. I didn't even get a chance to breath before he pushed me harder and kissed me passionately.

    "Why do you smell like insecurities, Kaily? And yes, it's a very distinct hormone smell. I could smell it the minute you ran away. Which I'm sorry for scaring you it's just yeah, you're sexy. Just so you know."

    "No I'm not. You probably just think of me as some kid. Sucks I'm-" He cut me off and kissed me again, his hands gently but passionately roaming all over and I couldn't help but kiss him back. "What?"

    "You are not a kid. You're a beautiful amazing woman and I am so incredibly blessed to have you as my mate. Don't you ever think differently Kailyn Renee Hollingsworth. Not even for a second."

    "Fine."

    "You're absolutely perfect you have to believe me about that." My heart melted, I knew he meant every word of what he said but no one has ever talked about me or to me like that before.

I'm sorry, Kaily, but I can't help this. I have to do this for all of us. I heard Athena say cryptically and somewhat mischievously in the back of my mind. Suddenly, I felt something shift and all of a sudden I had a burning need for Hayden, one that no words could describe. It was painful as I looked at Hayden with wide eyes. What did my wolf just do to me? Hayden's eyes were bright gold as he addictively sniffed the air. Then his face said it all.  

"Oh shit,"

"What?"

"I don't know how. But your heat just started..."

Crap...Athena had some major explaining to do.
