I woke up the next morning... Well afternoon. It must have been around 3:00 pm. I jumped up thinking if I got started right away, I could still squeeze in a few miles before dusk. Hopefully, I could find a small town, or at least an old farmhouse.
I set of again. Early into my trek I had a suspicious feeling like I forgot something. Sure enough, my knife was not in its sheath and it was too late to turn back. Sighing, I continued to walk.
Before I knew it is was after 7:00 and I needed to set up camp. I looked around. There. To my left was an entrance to a cave. Huh, I thought. I actually might get a decent sleep tonight! I ran toward the cave and soon I was standing at the gaping mouth. I slowly ventured into the darkness. I was about 2/3 minutes in when I tripped on something and skinned my elbow. I looked in my pockets for a light. Sweet! A small flashlight was in there. I flicked it on and nearly jumped out of my skin. Dead bodies littered the ground of the cave. I tried to turn away but I was frozen to the spot. The one I had tripped over still had skin on, although it was pretty much a stinking, green, wrinkly bag over a skeleton. One shrivelled eyeball was in another. Another had chips in its bones, as though it had been gnawed by something. One I found had a sword sticking out of its ribcage, like someone had stabbed it. I grasped the sword and pulled...
