When they got to the castle, they found there friends, and Shallow made an announcement.
Shallow: Everyone, I'm sorry to say this, but, Ace, is too strong, and I could only think of one thing that could stop him. I'm going to go back in time, and stop myself, from ever leaving the time rift, so that Ace, can never come to Equestria.
Twilight: No, you can't, what about the kids, won't they disappear?
Shallow: No, because I'm taking them with me, along with Henry, and Draco. So for the rest of you, this is, goodbye.
Applejack: Now wait just a minute, do ya really have to go sugarcube. I like it when you help me on the farm.
Fluttershy: And play with my animals.
Rainbow Dash: And race with me, even though I never won.
Pinkiepie: And help me around the shop.
Rarity: And help me get supplies for my boutique.
Celestia: You are one my closet friends.
Luna: The same goes for me.
Chrysalis: And me as well.
Spike: Who's gonna give me wings.
Starlight: And who's gonna help me new spell's.
Twilight: You can't go, because everyone here, has such good memories of you. Do you really want to leave.
Shallow: No, but, I have to, in order to save Equestria, but don't worry, I know how you all can keep the memories that we've made over the past three years.
Twilight: How?
Shallow made a big orb of energy, and it floated in front of his horn.
This orb, contains the memories of everyone in Equestria, from the past three years. It starts from when I left the time rift, to now. Even as we speak, it's being absorbed into this orb.
Chrysalis: Wait a minute. If you go back in time, and never come to see me, then I'd still be evil.
Shallow: Well, you do have a point. I guess that means that you should come along to.
Chrysalis: Good.
Shallow: And the rest of you, thank you, for everything.
Shallow started to cry.
Shallow: I wish, that I could have stayed longer. I'm so sorry to put you all through this, but this really is the only way.
Everyone started to tear up, as Shallow opened the time rift, and Twilight ran up to him, hugging him.
Everyone else: Goodbye Shallow.
Twilight: Goodbye, Shallow Speed.
Shallow: Goodbye, Twilight Sparkle.
When everyone exchanged goodbye's, Chrysalis, Draco, Henry, Emerald, Sonic, and Shallow, entered the portal. Shallow looked back at everyone, still crying, and when the portal closed, all of the memories, from the ones who stayed behind, were erased, and the one in the time rift, went back in time, right before the past Shallow opened the portal.
Shallow: Wait!
Past Shallow: Huh? Wait, are you me?!
Shallow: Yeah, and if you leave the time rift, then in three years, a darkness that came with you, will threaten Equestria.
Past Shallow: So what do I do now?
Shallow: Just stay still.
Shallow turned into energy, and merged with his past self.
Shallow: I did it, so now, the darkness will be trapped here forever.
The orb of memories, grew small, and went into Shallow's body.
Shallow: I'm gonna keep the memories with me, so that if we ever go back, we'll be remembered.
Draco: So why are we here?
Henry: Yeah.
Chrysalis: Well, I know why I'm here.
Shallow: And just so you know, if you leave to time rift, your past self will disappear. My kids are here, because they would have been erased from time if I left them.
Draco: So what now?
Shallow: Were gonna watch over time, and if a rift opens up, tell me, so that I can close it.
Henry: So what you're saying, is that we're stuck forever.
Shallow: Yeah, at least until I can find a spell that makes it so we can leave, and the darkness stays. (Don't worry Twilight, I'll come back, I promise.)
