15. Otōusan

A couple days passed. My sight slowly coming back. When I finally did regain my sight, 2 black figures loomed over my hospital bed.

"Raku!?"
"Ichijo-kun."

I shook my head, colours slowly flooding in.

Blonde... A lot of blonde. The most beautiful colour, blonde with the slightest hint of red through it defining itself as Strawberry Blonde.

I reached up for Chitoge's hand. The colours were still a bit jaded.

Chitoge answered putting her hand to to mine fingers interlocking.

"I missed seeing you." I said almost crying.

"We'll get used to me because I'm not letting you out of my sights for as long as I live." Tears welling up on her eyes preparing themselves to cascade down her perfect skin.

"Am I interrupting something?" The doctor laughed rhetorically.

"Sorry sir."

"Don't worry about it, you guys are really cute, it's lucky that you have each other."
We both smiled with the hint of  tears staining our face.

"Now Raku we are gonna run a few tests." The doctor said grabbing a clipboard on the table beside the bed.

"I'll leave you boys to it."
Chitoge grinned and walked towards the chair on the right side of my bed, it had a permanent indentation on it. If that is from Chitoge... I could not explain how much I love her.

"Now, how's your sight?"

"Better."

"Elaborate..." The doctor expectantly sighed.

"Well I can see you."
I say up on the side of the bed, observing the doctor head to toe.

He was wearing polished old shoes that seemed to be made of leather. His black pants were long and he was wearing what seemed to look like a labcoat over his buttoned up shirt with a tie. And on his breast-pocket was a name badge.
Dr. T Aizawa.

He got a flashlight out of his pocket and flashed it in my eyes, I squinted obviously.

"Pupil response slow but still a lot better."

"Dr. Aizawa? What were you talking about a couple days ago? About my yakuza father?"

"Agh, you saw the name. Well, let's just keep it short and simple, I knew your mother."

"What?!" I gasped in pure shock.

"Haha, that is all Ichijo-kun. You will find out more in due time."

I stood there with a dumbfounded look.

I turned to Chitoge but she was fast asleep. All I could do was laugh.

"She is such an idiot..." I giggled.

"She has been by your bed for the past fortnight. She is a lovely girl. Keep her close."

"Oh, I will, doc."

"Sign here." The receptionist passed me a pen.

I scribbled my signature on the discharge papers.

"You are free to go Ichijo-kun. Doctor Aizawa also left a note saying to come in for a check up in 2 weeks."
The receptionist gave me a grin and took the pen I handed back to her.

"Yes, ma'am."

"Be safe."

"He will."
Chitoge butted in.
Touching the small bandage patch covering the frostbite on my cheek.

As we walked out I held her hand, her grip was crushing. But I loved it, she is freakishly strong, I've always known that.

"To my place?" I asked.

"To yours." She smiled when answering.

My father embraced me putting his arms around me.

"Raku... Son... I'm so glad you are ok."

"Sorry for worrying you Otōusan."

"The Gang war has been really bad... Since the two heirs disappeared... I got injured..." My father held his hand to his shoulder.

"Are you ok!?" I worryingly asked.

"Yes. All I needed to know was if my son and my daughter in law was ok."
I smiled at this comment.

Chitoge who was standing behind me blushed heavily then proceeded to say,
"Thank you so much Ichijo-Sama."

"No need for formalities. With all that you have been through. You have been by my son for the past 9 days, never leaving his side. Raku is unbelievably lucky that he has you. At first I had my doubts, you guys hated each other at first."
Chitoge's father who was sitting next to the place the head of my family sits, and he nodded in agreement with my father.
"But it did take a while... And love conquers all. Chitoge and Raku, Raku and Chitoge. The heirs of 2 rival gangs. Now bought together. The future of Yakuza's around the world better look out, the Beehive and Ichijo gangs will become the greatest under your reign. Chitoge you can call me Otōusan... It's the least I can offer you."

Chitoge and I both stood there smiling but I knew that both of us were dazed and confused. We both told each other that we didn't want to become the leaders of our respected gangs. We knew that we will have to tell our fathers one day.

"Oh, Raku your stuff is packed." 
My father nonchalantly added after that massive pep talk.

"Wha? Why?"
I was even more dumbfounded than before.

"Do you think for a second think the two lovebirds should be separated?" Chitoge's father butted in.

"I'm not following?" Chitoge was as lost as I was.
"Me too?" I said.

"You guys are moving in together, Raku, you will be living with Chitoge for the rest of highschool. Also Chitoge will look after you while your injured, another of the many reasons."

Chitoge and I looked at each other, than our heads turned towards our fathers.

"What!" Both of our jaws dropped.

Yesssssshhhh, I've actually been writing! Omg.
Mainly because I'm planning a big ass story called
'A Throne of Roses and Lilac'
So that's ur first teaser ;)

So Chitoge and Raku are moving in. xD this is gonna be interesting.
So I actually had a bit more to write but I thought it'd be much more effective to end the chapter here.
