Torn Between Two

Chapter 6

7 P.M

I arrived at the park, looking for Tommy. It’s  kind of hard to find someone in the dark with little lights.

“Krissy, over here,” Tommy said.

I looked over to my right. I saw Tommy with a candle light picnic ready for two.

I said, “Awww. Tommy. You shouldn’t have. I am taken.”

Tommy said, “I know but is it wrong to have dinner with a friend. Even if that guy is your best friend.”

I replied, “No I guess not.”

“Sit down please.” Tommy said.

I sat down right next to him. He smiled as I did.

He has a point. It’s not wrong to have dinner with a friend. Don’t get me wrong it’s basically a date but we are friends so it won’t be an issue at all.

I asked, “What do you have to drink?”

Tommy said, “Well I have grape soda. Is that okay?”

I answered, “That is good. I love grape soda. It’s the best soda out there.”

“Okay” Tommy said.

Tommy poured grape soda into two glasses. He handed one to me. He kept the other one for himself.

I said, “Thank you.”

He said, “Your welcome.”

I said, “What do you have to eat?”

I took a sip of my grape soda. It was so good.

Tommy said, “I have cheeseburgers and fries. I made them myself. They are still very warm.”

I said, “I love cheeseburgers.”

Tommy said, “That is good.”

He puts two cheeseburgers and a couple of fries on two plates. He handed me one plate and kept the one for himself.

“Thank you.” I said.

He said, “Your welcome.”

I took a bit of my food. The cheeseburgers tasted very good so did the fries. Tommy began eating his food.

I said, “You are a very good cook. The cheeseburger and fries are very good.”

Tommy said, “Thank you. They are very good.”

“Your welcome” I said.

We finished eating about 4 minutes later. We drank our soda. We layed back in the grass, looking back up at the beautiful sky.

I said, “The sky is so beautiful tonight since there are so many stars in the sky.”

Tommy said, “I agree.”

We smiled at each other.

Tommy’s smile is very warming. His smile makes me melt inside. It’s just so cute. Don’t get me wrong, Jason has a cute smile to but, I have never had this warming feeling with Jason’s smile. Jason’s smile makes me smile. Tommy’s makes me smile even more. I hope I am not falling for Tommy even more. Not that it isn’t bad to have feelings for a cutie like that but my heart belongs with Jason. I don’t want to ruin our relationship.

Tommy said, “Even though you are taken, I want you to know I really like you. I will be here for you no matter what.”

I said, “Aww. Good to know.”

He smiled. He sat up. He signaled me to sit up to. I sat up. He gave me a hug. I hugged him back. I blushed. I hid it from him so he would not see it.
