Will update as often as I can because I might die during the duration of AMACon 2 ( I GOT IN!!) and not be able to finish this. Hahaha.

"Je, asan kapatid mo?" Sam asked. They were in Jerald's  room, playing his play station.

"Baka nasa kwarto niya." Jerald said, not taking his eyes off the tv screen.

"Medyo tahimik siya 'no?" Sam asked again.

"Kapag lang nandito kayo. Mahiyain kasi and hindi sanay masyado sa tao."

"Ay bakit, entrovert?"

"Anong entrovert?" RJ, who was busy with his bag of chips, said.

"'Yung hindi sociable. 'Yung mas gusto na mag isa lang siya." Sam explained.

"Tange, introvert!" RJ said, doubling with laughter.

"Grabe, makatawa, Brad? Bawal magka mali?" Sam said, glaring at his cousin who is now clutching his stomach as he continues to laugh.

"Entrovert. Bisaya ka, dong?" He said, almost out of breath.

"Tumigil ka nga, tignan mo napatay na ko ni Jerald!" He said, annoyed.

"HAHAHAHA HAHAHA ENTROVERT." Tears  already forming at the corner of his eyes, making Sam more annoyed.

"D'un ka nga!" Sam shouted and threw a pillow at him.

"Uy, Sam, concentrate naman. Boring mo kalaro." Jerald complained cockily.

"Richard James, wag ka nang magulo!" Sam barked as he returned his attention to the game. RJ, still laughing, stood up and headed towards the door.

"Je, baba lang ako, kuha akong tubig." He said before going out the door, not waiting for his friend's reply.

As he was walking towards the stairs, he saw Jerald and Sam's topic earlier sitting at the top of it. He quietly walked towards her, debating in his head whether to talk to her or just pretend he didn't see her. But as he threaded the path towards her, she suddenly looked up.

"Ahm. Hi, Maine." RJ said, giving her a small smile. She glanced at him briefly and returned her attention on the book that is on her lap.

"Excuse me lang ha. Padaan, kuha lang akong water." He said. Maine scooted towards the edge and nodded at the free space he can walk on. RJ muttered a silent thanks before running down.

He was on his way back with three bottles of water in his hands when he noticed the book that Maine is reading.

"Is that Harry Potter?" He asked.

"Hm?" Maine said, looking at him, confusion in her eyes.

"I was asking if what you're reading is Harry Potter." RJ said, smiling at her.

"Ah. Yes. It's the 4th one." She quietly answered.

"May I?" RJ asked, pointing at the other end of the step she is sitting on.

"Go on." Maine said, avoiding eye contact.

"Kumusta naman? 'Yung book?"

"Okay naman. Maganda, of course. Interesting na 'yung turn of events kasi magsa start na Tri-Wizard."

"Ay oo. Have you seen the movie? Maganda din pero mas gusto ko 'yung book."

"You like Harry Potter, too?"

"Oo! Sobrang favorite ko 'yan. Asang asa nga ako dati na makaka receive akong Hogwarts letter e!"

"Lahat naman ata tayo." Maine said, giving her a full smile.

RJ, seeing this for the first time, was not able to stop himself from staring at her. He'd always known there was something mesmerizing about her since the first time he met her. They even teased Jerald and asked who was the orphan between them when he introduced her as his sister because her beauty is really breathtaking - whereas Jerald, nevermind.

"Oy." He heard her say, cutting his train of thoughts.

"Ay sorry, ano 'yun?"

"Sabi ko, natapos mo ba 'yung buong series?"

"Ah. Hindi pa. Nasa Half Blood Prince pa lang ako. Nagpapa bili pa ko nung last book e."

They continued talking about Harry Potter, with RJ completely forgetting about his friends playing and the water he took. They talked about their favorite characters and scenes. Discussed of the differences the book and movie have and even chanting some spells. It was the first time that Maine interacted with his brother's friends months after they were introduced to her, and she found it quite surprising to be enjoying RJ's company.

"RJ, anong nangyari, bakit hindi ka na nag balik?" Sam, who they didn't notice approach them, asked.

"Sorry, Brad. Napa kwento kay Maine e." He said, before standing up and giving him one of the three bottles he took.

"Ay! Hi Maine, ikaw pala 'yan." Sam said, smiling awkwardly. Maine only nodded at him and diverted her gaze immediately.

"Maine, balik na ko sa loob ha. Kwentuhan tayo ulit next time." RJ said. Maine smiled at him and watched him and Sam return back to Jerald's room.

That day marked the beginning of the friendship of RJ and Maine. Harry Potter had been their common interest and had been their favorite topic whenever he visits at the Napoles' residences. Eventually their friendship grew beyond the story of the Boy Who Lived and started a bond that could have braved a lot of problems only if no feelings got in their way.
