Stiles' P.O.V
Monday mornings have never been my thing, late as usual!
"Stiles! Scott is here! Get down quickly!" I hear my mom shout from downstairs.
"Wait, I'm nearly ready" I shout back, jumping into my jeans. I quickly grab my brush and brush my teeth for 10 seconds before spitting the awful substance out of my mouth. I look around for my hair gel and then gel my hair in place! "Stiles!" Mom shouts again. "Coming!" I yell, running down the stairs. "Late as usual," Scott sighs. "Now c'mon you both better get going," mom says, handing me my keys."So what'd you do during the weekend?" I ask, Turing the engine on.
"Just the usual, spent some time with Jodie." Scott answers, I swear he's like obsessed with her. "What about you?" He asks, glancing at me from the passengers seat. "Mmmm, nothing really," I answer with my eyes glued to the road.
"Stiles"
"Hmm"
"You can't lie"
"I'm not trying to" I fake laugh.
"You still like Lydia don't you?" He asks, damn serious, I've hid my feelings for quite a long time, you'd think it'd be easy by now but it's not. Every time I hear her name, my breath hitches, every time I hear her name my heart cracks a bit. "No," I let out after a minute of silence.
"You do, don't lie to me Stiles, I know you like the back of my hand." Scott says.
"I'll tell you this but you can't tell anyone," I say to him.
"I won't," he smiles.
"It's hard Scott," I say. "She means everything to me, I have no idea what I'd do without her but then again, I am without her, she's not mine and nor will she ever be." I pause for a bit. "I've loved her since bloody 3rd grade Scott, tell me how? How do I get over her? I just can't, no matter how hard I try, she's always there and I can't lie to myself because the truth is the truth, I loved her, I love her, and I'll always love her"
"So you still think about her?" He asks quietly.
"Every goddamn day," I whisper.
I turn the jeep into Beacon hills, and reverse it into a free parking space.
"C'mon let's go" Scott says jumping out of the jeep, we walk over to the doors of the school, and walk inside.
"Scott!" Jodie shouts from the far side of the school, makes her way over and gives Scott a peck. "Hey Stiles, how are you?" She asks, "I'm good thanks," I reply, "yourself?"
"Same" she says.
"Oh look who's heading over to us," Scott says, I immediately turn around and the one and only Lydia Martin bumps into me then starts to fall back, "aaaa" she shrieks, and grabs on to my shirt which makes me fall down with her. The combined weight of my and Lydia hits the ground and ends with a loud thud, "ouch" she whispers, her voice barley audible. For once in ages I feel like the whole world has stopped spinning and it's just me and Lydia, together. "Stiles get off of me!" She says, catching me off guard, "Oh I'm uh sorry" I stutter, "Need a hand?" I ask as I get up. She places her pale and cold hand in mine and I pull her up. "Thank you" she whispers, and I can't help but smile. I stare at her as she walks away through the corridor. "Stiles," Scott and Jodie say in unison and giving me a fright. "How did that feel?" Scott asks me smirking. "Wait!" Jodie demands. She stares at me for a while, "oh em gee!" She pauses "You like her?"
I stare at Jodie, unaware of what to say, and I guess my silence gave it away. "You like her, oh my god, that is adorable," Jodie smiles at Scott and just as I'm about to say something, the bell rings.
