Kari's POV
11 pm
Ray and I continued to have dreams about Zonnique. She even threatened to be in our children's dreams. Ray still doesn't know about me killing her.
"Ray we need to get an exorcism done on this house. Lots of crazy shit has been happening since we got here." I said, laying my head on his chest. We were in our new living room, on our couch while watching the babies crawl around.
"You sure?" He asked.
"Hell yeah. I'm sick of Zonnique being in my dreams."
"Alright. We'll go to the priest tomorrow morning." He said, looking down at me.
"Okay. Thank you baby." I said, kissing his nose, snuggling into his chest.
Still Kari's POV
I fluttered my eyes open as I looked around. I then realized I was laying on the cold cherry wooden floors in the twin's nursery. I stood up slowly seeing Jadah and Nathan sleeping peacefully in their cribs. I slightly smiled as I watched their tiny chests heave up and down with each breath they took.
After a while, I started to feel as if someone was watching me as I was watching Jadah and Nathan sleep. I slowly turned my head in the direction that I felt the eyes staring back at me. I saw a dark figure standing in the corner of the room. I squinted my eyes until it became clearer. My eyes widened in shock as I stared back at the disgruntled demonic being standing before me.
"Who are you?" I stuttered.
"A visitor." It whispered. I stared at its face. It had the face of Zonnique but it was more decayed than any normal face. It had to be at least 8ft tall. There were claws instead of hands, hooves instead of feet, and it's legs were bent in an abnormal way.
"W-What do you want?" I asked as I slowly started to back away from it. This only made the demon walk closer.
"Them dead." It yelled as it jumped up onto the ceiling. It opened it's mouth and a fiery, red goo flew out of it's mouth onto the babies, burning them alive. I shrieked in fear and pain as I watched them burn to ashes. I cried for the demon to stop until I passed out.
I felt myself shaking as I opened my eyes. I started to cough as I sat up.
"Kari are you okay?" I saw Rayan out of the corner of my eye, with a worried look upon his face.
"No. It's the dreams again." I sobbed, lying back onto my pillow.
"Today, we'll go ask the priest for the exorcism babe. It'll all be over with soon." He said, wiping the sweat and tears off my face, and kissing my forehead lightly.
"T-This time, it was a demon with her face. But it wasn't a regular face. Her face was decayed and twisted. S-She killed them." I whimpered at the thought of her killing the babies. I flipped the covers off of me and ran down the hall to the babies nursery to check on them. A wave of relief fell over me as I saw them sleeping soundly in their cribs, snoring lightly.
"Kari. They're fine. Come back to bed baby." He said, lightly tugging me out of the nursery. He walked me back down the hall into our master bedroom. I plopped down onto the bed as Rayan tucked me as if I was a child.
"You can stay here and rest along with J and Nate while I go to talk to a priest alright?" I said, kissing my forehead and walking into the bathroom to take a shower. I rolled over to face towards the nightstand beside me. I slowly began to regret my actions against Zonnique but I can't even begin to imagine what she would do if she was still alive. Would it be worst than the dreams? Or would it be as crazy as the dreams? The thoughts slowly began to slip from my mind as I drifted off into a deep, peaceful slumber.
