Kari's POV
I slowly woke up as I saw that we were at LAX and Ray was already helping the driver put our bags on a cart. I climbed out of the car services car, and stretched as I saw a paparazzi taking pictures of me and Ray. I decided to be funny and posed for the camera a few times before laughing and walking up to Ray. I stood behind him and held his waist, resting my head on his back.
"Where are we going?" I questioned, listening to his steady heart beat.
"You'll see when we get there. But it is a long flight so I hope you brought your laptop." He said turning around towards me, gripping onto my waist firmly. I looked up at him and stared at his face.
"Ray. What have I told you about surprises?" I said, pouting at him. He chuckled softly and kissed my lips gently for a few minutes before releasing.
"I promise you'll like this surprise baby. I promise." I nodded as I grabbed Ray's hand, as he pushed our cart of luggage.
"Flight 234B at Gate 178 is loading in 15 minutes." I heard a monotone voice over the intercom. I turned to Ray as he walked to baggage claim.
"Ray, I'll get us some Starbucks ok?" I said, as he nodded his head. I laughed silently at him as he struggled to put our bags on the turn belt.
As I was walking to the Starbucks half way across the airport, I saw someone who looked familiar but I don't remember where I saw this face before. As I walked up to her, I noticed she had two babies in two different strollers.
"Excuse me?" I said, standing in front of her while she feed one of the babies.
"Y-Yes?" She said looking up at me in a shocked way.
"Have we met before?"
"U-Uh, I don't think so.." She said, quickly looking down.
"Um.. Okay. Are these your babies?" I asked, smiling on the inside.
She nodded, quickly. "Can I see them?"
"S-Sure." She said, spinning around their strollers. As I stared at the baby girl and baby boy, they didn't look any older than a month.
I gasped. "How old are they?"
"2 months. They were premature." I stared at the baby boy and noticed he kind of looked like me. I turned to the baby girl and she was the spitting image of Ray. They had a head full of curly, silk hair.
"What's their names?" I asked, staring at her. They looked nothing like her, so I assumed they looked like their dad.
"Madison and Mekhi." She said, smiling nervously at me. I nodded and pursed my lips.
"Well. Bye now." I said as I walked up to the Starbucks right in front of me.
"Welcome to Starbucks, would can I get for you today?" The cashier asked. She looked like she was at least fifteen or sixteen, and from the look on her face, I could tell she recognized me. "O-OMG!! You're Kari, Ray's girlfriend right?" She asked, showing all her teeth as she smiled awaiting my answer.
I slightly smiled and nodded. "Yeah. I am."
I looked at her as she stared at my stomach, confused. "W-What happened to the babies?" She asked as her lip quivered.
I sighed, biting my lip to hold back the tears. "I-I lost them...In a car accident." At this point, her mouth was wide open.
"W-What?!" She exclaimed.
"Please don't say anything. Please." I begged, not wanting TM to find out about it. She nodded fastly as a tear fell down her cheek.
"O-Ok. What would you like to order?" She said, quickly wiping the tear.
