Their eyes followed me, I was their prey. It was Thursday when I returned, so I was lucky. The list couldn't affect me. Yet. My body was slumped in a wheel chair, for the doctors feared that if I have a flashback, I would fall. Thus the wheelchair.
Cautiously tracking my movements, I wheeled myself to class, History. Aacie stopped me as I got passed my locker, "Hey baby." she said, plastering herself to my lap.
"H-hi." I couldn't make out any words. The image of my mother was painted in my mind. It felt like everything that could go wrong, did go wrong. It felt like the days stopped. It felt like I was a little kid; without a mom. (I grew up with every other month, mom would be on a business trip) It wasn't the same.
"Why are you at school, David? You shouldn't be here. You need to rest and relax." Aacie soothed me. Knowing she was in the majority of my classes made me relax. We had everything after history together, except P.E.
"Aacie, no one stopped to rest and relax when that day happened. I just need to forget about it." I muttered, and I began to wheel off. I noticed her body cringe.
"David, I have to tell You something." she never spoke so fearfully. I never heard her scared.
"Anything, Aacie."
"David, I am pregnant, and it is'nt yours. It is Daniels." her breath was sharp, but she figured I would accept her. She kissed me. Her pink lips moving with excitement, while mine stayed frozen. She tried to force my lips open, but I pushed her away. After she cheated on me? No!
"Get away from me, Aacie Symons." My arms gently shoved her off of my lap, as I hatefully wheeled away. I heard her call my name. But I didn't stop. I listened to her pained cries and shouts. Why was I the one on trial? She could get Daniel to care for her accident.
I ran into Daniel in the hall way, and I rolled over his foot. "Woah, moron! Watch it!!" he yelped, touching his Adidas. He glared at me and then saw the rage practically molesting my face. I watched his blue eyes become worried.
"Asshole." I tried to keep wheeling away (Wheelchair powers, ACTIVATE) but he had a firm grasp on my handles.
"YOU LISTEN TO *ME*!Aacie came to me, during a party. You had left the party And she was upset. She was obviously drunk, so I wanted to take her home. She let me take her home, but she took me upstairs. I had had two and a half beers, so I was 'buzzed' but still relatively sober. She pressed me to the pillows and said to make me forget you. And now she's pregnant. It was never supposed to happen."
"So, it's Aacies fault?"
He shook his head. It was my fault. My fault.
And I knew it too.
