It was a dark night and the storm was brewing. You could just feel it. The wind was howling and the clouds were crying bullets of water. There was a girl standing there with eyes closed. Her fingers patted her side in the rhythm of the rain. Her dark brown hair blew threw the wind. Her shirt and pants were completely drenched. Her shoes were in a puddle created by the rain, mixed with her own tears. Hers eyes opened slowly to look down at her feet.  A man lay there lifeless in a puddle of his own blood. A bullet hole was perfectly placed in his chest as if it was meant to be there. She closed her eyes again. This couldn't be happening.

She opened her eyes and got down on one knee. She began to pray. She tried and tried yet it was useless, he was gone, and she would never get him back. She stood up and brushed herself off.

Lightning struick and thunder rumbled. She jumped softly, startled by the abrupt noise. She stared at the sky with such a hopeless look on her face. She placed a hand on her heart, and fell to the ground.

Lifeless.
