"Your majesty." There was a knock on the door, waking me from my slumber.
The door opened to reveal several maids. They quickly huddled around me and dressed me for my wedding. The day finally arrived where I'd marry Caspian.
Once they finished, they all stepped back for me to see myself in the mirror. I gasped. I looked beautiful. My long blond hair was pulled back in a beautiful braid.
They had put make-up on my face which made me look years older than I actually was. My long white dress ended just before it reached my golden heels. The maids placed a veil over my face and handed me a bouquet of roses.
"You look lovely." One of them said.
I reached the doors of the throne chambers. Aslan stood there waiting with a smile.
"Allow me to walk you up to Caspian." He offered.
"Aslan, thank you. It would be such an honour." I replied.
The doors quickly opened and music filled the entire room. I saw Narnians and Telemarines alike stand in the crowd. I looked ahead to see Caspian in fancy clothing. His hair was combed back and he looked more handsome than ever.
As soon as we reached Caspian, Aslan walked up and stood before us all. Caspian turned to me with a smile. "You look beautiful."
"And you look handsome." I replied.
The time quickly came for the vows. Caspian went first.
"Sabrina, you came to me in a time where I was desperate. I have heard of your stories and your legends as a child and I looked up to you.
"You were such an inspiration to me and when I first laid my eyes on you I found you to be the most beautiful woman, it was love at first sight. You helped me despite what the others said, including your brother. You believed my words and stayed by my side. I want nothing more than to spend the rest of my days with my Queen, my love. I love you with all my heart."
I felt like I was going to cry. I fought back my tears as it was my turn. "Caspian, I had no idea of what was happening when I came back to Narnia. However once we knew what was going on I had taken a liking towards you. I saw the sincerity and compassion within you.
"When you spoke to the Narnians I saw how passionate you became and how your eyes glistened. It was then on when I knew Narnia needed a king like you. I slowly fell in love with you and there were several issues that came along our path, however despite that our love was stronger. We overcame everything that was thrown to us. I love you so much Caspian, I want to spend every day by your side. Because every day without you is painful for me. You mean everything to me."
Caspian's eyes teared up and so did mine. I heard several cries and sobs in the crowd, including Reepicheep.
"She's all grown up." Reepicheep cried.
"Now for the rings." Aslan said.
The rings were brought up by Reepicheep. They were beautiful golden rings that had the words until the end carved into the rings. Once the rings were placed on our left hands, Aslan announced the final words that we were dying to hear.
"By the power vested within me I announce you husband and wife. You may now kiss the bride."
Caspian slowly walked towards me with a loving look. He took off my veil and slowly leaned in, capturing my lips with his. The entire crowd cheered and clapped for us.
After the ceremony there was a grand feast and party. Caspian and I began the dances and after that we danced with Telemarines and Narnians.
I saw Aslan leaving the great hall and I quickly rushed after him. Caspian was soon by my side as well.
"Leaving so soon?" I asked.
Aslan turned around at my words. "I believe you two have Narnia in your hands."
"Will you return?" Caspian asked.
"One day, just not in the same way as before." Aslan explained. "Keep that in mind. I do believe that you will both make great monarchs. Narnia will do well under you reign. Now if you'll excuse me."
With that we watched Aslan walk out of the castle and towards the forest. Caspian snaked an arm around my waist.
"We're finally going to live the lives we deserve." Caspian said.
"Yes, we definitely are." I replied. "Narnia will be at peace once again like when we defeated the white witch. Xavier would be happy."
I felt myself getting teary eyed. I was still touchy with the whole topic. I still couldn't bring myself to the fact that he had passed.
"Don't beat yourself up. He'd want you to be happy." Caspian reminded me.
"Thanks Caspian." I said giving him a kiss.
Once he pulled away he carried me bridal style, causing me to squeal. He chuckled at my response.
"Come, let's return to the party." Caspian whispered in my ear.
I giggled. "Of course, my love."
With that we entered back inside the castle where our new lives together as King and Queen would commence. Little did we know that evil would arise...
