Chapter 14: Misunderstanding

~Sabrina's POV~

"Wake up!" A soldier spat.

They kicked my stomach and I spat out blood. Ugh. I was in the dungeons for two days.

Miraz was having his coronation today. Cornelius told me, which he heard from the soldiers.

Miraz then approached me next to the soldiers.

"What do you want?!" I hissed.

He chuckled."You haven't changed much. My coronation is today and you will have the privilege of going."

This doesn't feel right at all. There had to be a catch. I had a bad feeling about this.

"What's the catch?" I inquired.

"There is no catch. Well actually there is. You shall be executed in front of everyone." Miraz replied."And I shall kill you myself."

I gulped. No! I can't die!

"You won't get away with this!" Cornelius yelled.

"Oh shut up!" Miraz spat."Now take her away."

With that the men took me up to the tower where I awaited my death. I sighed. I can't die, fear had taken over my mind and body.

"Now, let us welcome a special guest!" I heard Miraz's voice.

A few guards then took me away from the tower and I was soon in front of all the Telemarines.

Everyone started at me as they made way and Miraz soon came before me.

"Kneel!" He demanded.

I reluctantly did as he said and he then spoke. He circled around me as he spoke.

"This is Sabrina, the daughter of the White witch Jadis." He explained."They say she's the most powerful sorceress, well watch me kill her right here."

With that I closed my eyes awaiting for my death. Tears were streaming down my eyes. I need to have faith, they'll be here.

"Keep your filthy hands off of her!!"

That voice! Peter!! I opened my eyes to see Miraz on the ground. Peter and Xavier were at an instant by my side. My swords. I then used a summoning spell and my swords came at an instant.

"How did you do that?" Miraz gasped.

"It's called magic, you son of a bitch!" I spat as I kicked Miraz.

"Are you alright?" Xavier asked.

"Yes, I'm fine." I replied."I'm so glad you're here."

"I'm so happy you're alive." Peter added.

"Guards get them!!" Miraz yelled.

"I think we should leave." I suggested.

With that we ran towards the gate and we made it through in time. We looked back to see the guards retreating back into the castle.

We then continued to walk on our way back to the fortress. We soon reached the fortress at dusk.

"I'll inform the others you're here." Xavier said.

With that he ran inside. I looked back at Peter and smiled. I'm so fortunate to have friends like Peter.

"Thank you for rescuing me." I said.

"You're welcome." Peter replied."I wanted you back more than anything, I was so angry that you stayed behind."

"It's alright, Peter." I assured him."I'm here now."
