EDIT:  Hi! I had this story privated for the longest time after it being released for a over a year, but I decided to make it public again because so many of you enjoyed the story! I hope you know that this is extremely old and is definitely not as good as my actual writing skills now haha. I did go through the chapters though and changed a few things, so hopefully it isn't as unbearable! Thank you for reading my story, and though I'm not a fan a Dan and Phil now, I'm still very happy I was able to contribute something to this community :)

Enjoy the story!

April 7th, 2012|Dan's POV

" As the x-ray shows here, Daniel, you have a fractured wrist. You need to be easy on it for a few weeks before you'll be able to properly use it again." The doctor said, pointing to the x-ray image of my wrist with a wooden pointer.

I release a slight sigh of frustration, not necessarily wanting to deal with this right now. The doctor's voice brought nothing but blue, and I hated it.

All I want right now is to relive what happened just a few hours ago.

"Do I need to take any medication?" I ask shyly, rubbing the back of my forehead as the doctor scribbles something on a piece of paper.

"I'll prescribe you a medication that will ease the pain; I will be sure to call you within the next few days to give you your prescription." The doctor responds before opening the door of this tiny office-like room we're in. He clears his throat before continuing.

"Well, Mr. Howell, you may return home again, just avoid using your left hand and come back in about 3 weeks so we can check up on it again." He soon puts his clipboard down before reaching his hand out for a shake. I use my right hand to firmly grasp his slightly cold hand and give it a small shake.

Of course, it just so happened to be my left hand that I fractured.

"T-Thank you sir." I stumble over my words, sleepily standing up from my chair before heading out the door.

I started walking down the empty hallway of the hospital, my footsteps echoing with each continuing one. I've never really liked hospitals, they give me this weird, bluish grey feeling. It feels empty, like something belongs here. I've never had the best experiences in them either. I mean, what am I saying? Who does have a good experience in the hospital? Well maybe if you're having a baby, but other than that, I can't really think of anything.

As I check myself out at the front desk, I see someone standing in the corner of my eye, outside the glass hospital doors.

After finishing all of the paperwork, I push open the heavy doors with all my strength, releasing myself into the piercing night, only to see those same alluring blue eyes staring back at mine.

"Um, hi." The shy, jet-black haired stranger utters, scratching the back of his head. He stumbled over his words and was wearing a bright mustard yellow sweater that was too big for him at the sleeves, so it caused him to have little sweater paws. I smile at his presence.

Gold.

I didn't really respond to him, I just stared. I studied his body movement and watched the way the wind carried his pitch black hair. His overall image just made him visually pleasing to look at.

"So, uh, what'd the doctor say about your wrist?" He stammers again, staring down at my left hand. I look at it as well, examining the beige bandaging on it.

"Fractured. I'll be fine though." I swiftly respond, not even realizing how fast I was talking. I tend to talk really quickly when I'm nervous. Not too sure why. The stranger looks at me in guilt before responding.
