April 9th, 2012|Dan's POV
It's 6:00 AM, and I'm woken up by red flashes in my mind, then I bolt up to see the pattern still happening in my vision. My alarm clock is beeping away, keeping in beat with the pattern of the flashes.
I quickly get up to turn it off, the pattern soon fading as the alarm sounds stop. The pattern happening in my mind is usually a good way to get me out of my bed to turn off my alarm, but the flashes happening before me is quite scarier than that.
After scrolling through tumblr to wake up a bit, I decided get dressed, pulling on a white sweater and some faded black pants, the sweater having a few paint stains on it.
It's good enough. I think to myself as I head out of my dorm room and walk to my classes for the day. My classes are okay, although I don't really have any friends in them.
As I enter the large, cold classroom a blue hue glows in my vision. I ignore it and sit in the back of the vast classroom, aka the quietest spot where no one could bother me. I need to have a quiet environment to concentrate, because there'll be too much color if I do decide to sit in the front. Besides, I enjoy my privacy, as I've always been quite an introverted person.
I started listening to music from my earphones and do work on my laptop, having to finish a few projects for classes. Suddenly, a rushed and flustered young girl came hopping up all the steps of the desks, speeding into the seat next to me.
"Hey do you mind if I sit here haha okay thanks!" The girls says faster than I could blink. She gave me a clumsy smile before staring down at my hand.
"What happened to you?" She asked in a bubbly, yet calm, voice. I inspected the gleaming girl. She has brown, hazel locks and bright green eyes. She was beautiful, to say the least.
I then look down at my left hand, still in the cast, reminding me that this is how I met the Phil Lester, the only person who cares and the only person that gives me a golden glow.
"O-Oh, I just f-fell." I respond, stuttering almost too much. She girl seemed to notice my uncomfortable structure, as she backed up a little and sat in the seat next to me. Since the classroom itself was quite big and not many students were in this class, we had many extra seats.
"Yikes, sorry to hear about that. I'm Rochelle! But, y-you can just call me Roe." She says, stuttering a little bit herself.
I can't help but smile at this girl, her voice is so light and cheerful, it gives me a golden glow, but its not the glow I get when Phil talks to me. His glow is much brighter and gives me butterflies. No one's voice has been able to give a glow to me like Phil's. Nobody's voice gave me a golden glow, except for Phil, and now Roe.
"Pleasure to meet you Roe, I'm Daniel, but you may just call me Dan." I say, reaching out to shake her hand. She politely accepts it and continues the conversation.
"So, what are you listening to?" Roe asks curiously. I quickly pull up the tab on my computer that's playing my music and show it to her, not caring whether or not if she knows the band.
"Oh my god, I love Muse!" She exclaims, taking out one of my earbuds and placing it ever so gently into her ear. She then pulls out her notebook and starts taking notes, as I was doing the same, except on my laptop. I didn't really question what she was doing, I didn't really mind. If it was anybody else, I would've gotten angry at them for just ripping out my earbud, but she feels different. A good different.
**
We continue the rest of our class time like this, talking and getting to know each other. Roe was very supportive of my artwork, just like Phil is. I really enjoy Roe, and I think she enjoys me too. She's really a nice person and I really like her.
