Michael

I got home from work around 10 p.m. All I had to do was go through a few editing processes on one of my clients computers, but it took longer than I expected.

I walked in quietly, and sat my stuff by the door.

I quietly walked up the stairs, and opened our bedroom door.

Luke was lying in the middle of the bed, and he was surrounded by pillows. His lower body was under the blankets, and his eyes were closed.

I changed into my pajamas, and lifted the blankets to see him laying in a pair of blue panties and my Metallica sweat shirt.

He turned over and tiredly smiled at me. I crawled in beside him, and he leaned over on my chest.

I ran my hand through his soft hair and he hummed. He looked so gorgeous.

"I love you, baby." I whispered, and he giggled. "I love you too."

-

"Allison stop.." I whispered as she walked into her at-home office. I was editing her blog, and she came in half naked.

We kinda had a thing before I was kidnapped. Now I only want Luke. She leaned down and kissed my neck from behind.

"Stop." I said and pulled away from her.

"Whyyyy?" She whined and I sighed. "Because. I've got somebody at home that can kiss me. I don't need you." I said and finished up her blog.

"Cmon." She whispered as I stood up.

She pushed me against the desk, causing me to sit down. She kissed my lips roughly, and trailed them down my neck.

I haven't felt this in a long time, and I felt myself starting to give in.

Then I thought of Luke. I thought of how excited I get when I start going home to him. I think about how much he needs me. He needs someone to protect him, and I can't do that if I'm gonna be giving someone else my time.

I pushed her back, and stood up.

"I quit.." I whispered, and grabbed my backpack, leaving the room quickly.

-

I ran my hands through my hair as I stopped in the driveway.

I was going to tell him, but I think some things are better left unsaid.

I walked into the house, and shut the door.

Immediately Luke came running out of the living room. He smiled, and hugged me, but I felt his whole body tense.

He pulled back slowly, and he looked up. His blue eyes lost their brightness, and right then, I knew that he knew.

"You smell like perfume, and you have lipstick on your neck..." He said and wiped it off with his thumb.

"That's not lipstick.." He whispered, realizing it wasn't coming off. She left a hickey.

He dropped his head, and turned away from me. He started to walk away, but I stopped him.

"Luke-"

"Stop." He whispered and walked up the stairs.

"I don't know why I let her, Luke. I quit my job though." I said, and he turned around with his arms crossed and a tear slowly making its way down his cheek.

"Luke, I love you, and nobody's ever gonna change that. Especially not her. She was all over me, and I gave in for just a second, but I started thinking about how I would rather have you kissing me. You've gotta believe me." I whispered, and he pouted.

He just looked up at me, and his eyes filled back up again, letting more fall back out of his eyes.

"Talk to me." I whispered.

I sighed, and stepped closer to him, but he just turned and ran up the stairs quickly.

I walked up the stairs and found him laying in the center of our bed.

"Luke you know I love you, right?" I asked and leaned on the doorframe.

He shook his head and I stood up straight.

"No?" I asked, but he didn't respond.

"Luke, do you believe me when I tell you I love you?" I asked him. He didn't say or do anything.

He sat up, and wiped his eyes with his sleeve. "I know I love you. Theres no question about it, but I've never been loved before, and I don't know why you'd pick me when you could have her. I like to pretend you mean it when you say you love me, but I know there's better people for you. They're all pretty, and less sensitive, and probably give you everything you want. And this is the most I've ever said to you. That's got to be irritating." He said, and frowned at me.

"Baby, no.." I whispered, and walked over to the bed. I held his head against my chest as he cried.

"I love you so much. I mean it." I whispered and kissed the side of his head. "I don't know how I can prove to you that you're all I want, and I want to be with you, not somebody you think is better. No one is better for me." I told him.

"One more thing, Luke. You are the most beautiful person on the pl-"

"Stop." He said, and pushed away from me. "Don't tell me that. You'll tell me I'm the most beautiful person on the planet, but we both know you're lying. You see the stuff I've been through, and you see how I've turned out. It's not beautiful. I know you love me, but don't tell me lies." He said, wiping up his last tears.

"Luke, when I first met you, I was completely blinded. I thought you were perfect. I couldn't find a single flaw on your body even though you came in with new bruises everyday. Then I fell in love with you, and I saw everything. I saw your imperfections, your flaws, and learned how broken you are, but none of that made me think of you as ugly. I saw how strong you were. And every day I'm with you, I watch you grow stronger, and that's what I believe is beautiful. Your gorgeous smile, and your adorable personality is just an added bonus. Don't ever try to tell me you aren't beautiful because if you could see what I can see, you'd love yourself just as much as I love you."
