----------------------------------------------------------
Opening the door, my room had some lights on, and a window was open by my bed. Wheeling inside and shutting the door, I found another note attached to one of those golden strings at my desk.Those girls won't be bothering you anymore, Nikki. We will meet soon.
I was able to read this note a little easier, mainly because of the neat handwriting. Whoever wrote this, I need to thank them for confronting those girls. I need a friend now more than ever and I think I found one.
Just one thing is making me curious.
What's with the golden strings?
----------------------------------------------------------I woke up a little earlier than usual this morning, hoping to find out who wrote that note to me last night. Plopping into my wheelchair, I rolled to my bathroom, brushing my teeth and hair. While I was brushing my teeth, I saw a note from one of (f/n)'s friends taped on the mirror.
Nikki,
(F/n) wanted me to walk you to class and accompany you throughout your day. I hope that's alright. Anyway, I'll be waiting outside your room when you're ready.
~ Jonathan Hollywood
(I believe that's Puppeteer's real name, correct me if I'm wrong. Update: his name is Jonathan apparently idk)
I read the note once more, brushing my hair and putting it back with a (fav. Color) bandana. Next, I rummaged through my closet and got out a pair of cargo shorts and a (favorite band) tshirt. I struggled to put the shorts on, but it didn't take as long as I usually do.
Getting settled in my set of wheels and making sure I had everything I needed, I wheeled to the door and opened it to find a tall boy with shoulder-length black hair and brown eyes. He wore all black, save for his yellow tshirt he had on under his jacket.
"Hi, I'm (F/n)'s friend, Jonathan. Are you ready to go, Nikki?" He smiled warmly at me, getting behind me and rolling me down the hallway to my classroom. This guy seemed really nice like he was sent by some higher being to protect me.
As he rolled me along, no one stared at me. Instead, they got their stuff and quickly walked away as we rolled by. I couldn't see the smug grin Jason was making or I would've asked what was up.
Jonathan opened the door for me, letting me roll inside, and helped me to my spot in the empty room. He looked around and frowned a bit, resting his hands on my shoulders.
"It looks like no one's here. You sure this is your classroom?"
I nodded and looked down. "This is the disability and special ed classroom. I'm the only one in here so nobody pays attention to me. I usually just practice reading or take a nap until someone comes and gets me."
Jonathan knelt down beside me and held my arm in his slightly larger hand. "I can help you read, and maybe I can teach you how to draw or something?" I smiled and nodded, getting one of the books from my bag and we started reading.
----------------------------------------------------------
(Imma just start calling him Jo)"What does this say, Nikki?" Jo asked while pointing to a speech from a play.
"It says, 'Friends, Romans, countrymen, lend me your ears;
I come to bury Caesar, not to praise him.
The evil that men do lives after them;
The good is oft interred with their bones;
So let it be with Caesar. The noble Brutus
Hath told you Caesar was ambitious:
If it were so, it was a grievous fault,
And grievously hath Caesar answer’d it.
Here, under leave of Brutus and the rest–
For Brutus is an honourable man;
So are they all, all honourable men.' We're reading from The Death of Julius Caesar, aren't we?"Jo nodded and smiled. "You are reading without hesitation now. Good job. You want to try drawing now? Show me what you can do." He smiled and gave me a pencil and paper, watching as I got to work. (The picture above is what she's drawing :3 I drew that a few months ago but I can't find the drawing or I would've put it there.)
Puppeteer's pov.
After about an hour, Nikki had fell asleep while I was reading the rest of The Death of Julius Caesar. Lifting her head up, I saw her drawing and I have to say, that was the best drawing of Genos that I've ever seen.
Putting her back in her wheelchair, I put her drawing in her bag and rolled her back to her room. Some kids gave us dirty looks, but I shut them up with my puppet strings attacking their limbs and dragging them away to be killed by one of the nearby Creepypastas. I kissed the top of her head whispering, "I won't let any of those jerks hurt you any more. You have suffered enough."
It was true, Nikki had suffered enough. Puppeteer could see how depressed she was every day, even though she pulled off the best fake smile he has ever seen. Behind her smile was pain and suffering from her past.
Puppeteer laid her in her bed, tucking her in, and sat in one of her beanbags, starting to get lost in his thoughts.
What happened to make her crippled?
Was she bullied in her younger years because of that?
Can I do something to make her happy?
That's it! I know she hates being crippled, so I can set a goal to one day have her walk on her own again. She told me her spine was hurt beyond repair and nobody could do anything to help her. That will change starting now.
I will help her be able to walk again, even if I have to end up using my strings to help, but that will blow my cover and make her think I'm a monster.
