"Why don't we give Jo a good wakeup call?" Jason struggles to contain a laugh as the two drop me on top of Jo's sleeping body and I land on him, getting a grunt as I land. You'd think landing on a body would be a rough landing, but Jo wasn't. He was soft.
The two troublemakers left to their rooms, leaving me and Jo on the couch in the most awkward position. I couldn't really move 'cause my legs don't move anymore, so I'm stuck staring at Jo's face or having a cuddle buddy for a while.
Cuddle buddy it is.
---------------------------------------------------------
I didn't stare at Jo's sleeping face anymore, taking advantage of my position by resting my head on his chest and closing my eyes. I didn't really sleep, but I wasn't fully awake either. All I had for company was Jo's hesrtbeat and the rise and fall of his chest as he slept.
I zoned out for a while, thinking about what led me to being here mainly, and I never noticed Jo's arms wrapping around me in a comforting embrace nor the two men in the background talking about us and taking pictures for possible blackmail later.
I don't really understand what these guys saw in me to make me their friend, but I'm grateful for it. They seem really nice and haven't made fun of me yet so far. I have Jo to thank for this. Maybe I should tell him later if I get the chance.
I pulled myself out of my thoughts, feeling Jo's hand rubbing my back. Looking up at him, I'm met with those golden eyes of his as he looks down at me with a sleepy smile.
"Hey, doll. Enjoy yourself, did you?" His voice was a little groggy, but even still it left my cheeks burning from his words.
"Jason and Painter dropped me on you and left my wheels on the other side." I looked to the side, embarrassed of the position we were in, but Jo didn't seem to mind or really notice. Probably from still being half-asleep.
"Don't mind them; they're pranksters, Jason more than Painter." Jo chuckles, sitting up and holding me in his arms.
"I'll be your wheels for now. How about that?" Jo stands, carrying me in his arms as he makes his way back to his room. I hugged him as we passed the jokers in the hall, Jo gave them some choice remarks about taking me out of my chair.
"Alright, milady," Jo sets me on his bed before kneeling down. "Do you want some drawing stuff to keep you occupied? I got some books from your dorm as well for when you want to read."
I smiled at him, then remembered. "Did you get the game system and stuff from there?"
"Already done." Jo bows, then turns to point at my game consoles, controllers and game cases. I smiled, thanking him. "I'll take the drawing stuff, too. It'll keep me occupied while you're out."
Jo smiled, handing me the desired objects and putting anything else I may need within reach. "Don't get into trouble now. I don't want to hear about a high-speed chase of a derranged girl in a wheelchair on the news." We both laughed at his joke, distracting me from the impending doom of being alone while Jo was out working.
"I won't be gone long; I promise I'll be back before dawn to wake you up." After a ruffling of my hair, Jo took his leave, wishing me a good night as he did so.
Sorry this one's so short, I'm in the middle of some college exams so I'll work on next chap and get it up as soon as I can
