★Chapter 5★

Third Person POV

At work, Jack and Elsa acted professionally. They would do their own work without minding each other. Elsa decided to meet her coworkers because she didn't have a chance the other day.

She started with the 3 people on her team. Ariel, Jazmine and Philip.

Elsa's POV

I've already finished my part of the design. I might as well meet my team. I decided to go to their cubicle which was odd because I was supposed to be on their team but I'm not taking the last space. Whatever.

"Hey guys!" I greeted with a warm smile.

 "Oh hey, you're the new girl right?" a girl with long black hair answered

"Yeah, and I was thinking of introducing myself to you guys because, well, I'm the new web design head." I explained. "Anyways, I hope we can all get along."

"Oh sure, that's not a problem. We don't bite. Hehe." Someone joined in, she's a redhead.

"Meet the team. This here is Jazmine." the redhead pointed to the brunette, "she's the content writer."

"Philip,  apparently the only guy in this team, is in charge of SEO[Search Engine Optimizer] and site maintenance." The redhead continued. "And my name is Ariel, I'm on design." She reached her hand out and I shook it.

Everyone of us in the team got along well. We started talking about plans and other stuff. We even agreed to have lunch together.

"So, Elsa. I just have to ask. Are you Jack's new girlfriend?" Philip asked.

"What makes you say that?" I answered a question with another question. "Nothing,  just putting it out there. Making sure cause of something I heard." Philip shrugged and I rolled my eyes. "Just forget about it really." He continued.

"Ooookay, whatever you say pal." I put my hand on his shoulder. "Anyways, let's go grab lunch. I'm starving."

"Yeah let's. I'm getting hungry too." Ariel added as we started getting up our workstations and headed to the office cafeteria.

As we were about to head out, we passed by Jack's office and I see him drowning in paperwork with his eyebrows furrowed. Damn, I didn't know he could cross it that much. I just laughed and decided to invite him.

"You guys go on a head, I got something to do. I'll catch up in a jiffy." I waved to them and headed to Jack's office.

"Before you say anything, No, I am not eating lunch and yes, I have a ton of work to do." Jack raised his finger as I entered his office. "But you didn't even know what I was going to say." I protested. "Yes I do. Now get your sassy ass out of my office." He said while not taking his eyes off the paper he was holding.

"Okay, whatever man. I'm going to eat." I stuck my tongue out and waltzed out of his office.

As I was heading to the cafeteria, I stumbled upon Punzie who was walking towards me. Hmm. "Hey Elsa, how'd it go with work?" she asked. "Well, for starters, I've more or less made a few friends today and we're having lunch together. Why don't you join us?" I beamed a smile as I tried to drag her with me to the cafeteria but she just "I can't right now Elsa, I'm a bit busy. Dad's calling me to his office. Probably about that merger with Southern Isles Industries." Punzie then stormed off in a rush when her phone rang, signalling that her dad is telling her to hurry up.

I continued heading off to the cafeteria and met up with them. They were sharing a table with two other people. Another redhead and a blonde. Great, more people. Yey!

"Hey Elsa! What took you so long?" Ariel questioned. "I was held up okay." I rolled my eyes and took a seat in our round table.

"Anyway, we want you to meet these two. This is Aurora, Philip's wife and she's in the furniture department." Ariel pointed to the blonde. "and this is Hans." This time, she motioned to the redhead "He's a former employee and now a stockholder." Quite impressive. I thought.

"Nice to meet you guys!" I shook their hands and we all ate lunch together. It was quite amusing how Hans would steal glances from me. I mean, it's clear he's kinda interested in me but it's just, not that I'm being mean or anything, I find him creepy.

When we all finished chit-chatting, we all started heading back to our offices.

I just remembered something so I excused myself, again. "Guys, you go on ahead." I said while grabbing my bag. "Again? Where are you heading now?" Jazmine raised an eyebrow. "Just gonna pick something up, I'll be quick I promise." And like that, I rushed outside.

I went to the chinese restaurant on the corner and ordered take-out. Might as well get that dude something to eat, I mean I am freeloading in his apartment so might as well.

As I happily went back the office, feeling happy and proud of myself for thinking of Jack's well-being. I'm such a good roomie. I was near his door, I opened and I dropped the food when I saw what was happening in front of me.
