He found her again in that very park, several nights later.
4 nights, exactly.
In those very nights, he'd take a stroll in the park, and he'd think of nothing but her, how he can read her eyes, and how he felt a sense of familiarity–both sentimental with a hint of longing, as if they met in an alternate universe, a time before time.
He didn't question how he walked with ease as he made his way towards her. He just felt like he needed to, and somehow, something allowed it. She's not crying now, but she's still the same.
Her life is still falling apart and she has no one.
He stopped in front of her and she looked up in surprise. How? her bright eyes asked. He saw her fear, confusion, and hesitation but she knew. She knew why.
She can't be saved, she said. But he can't save himself either.
He said nothing, and held out his hand instead. The silent moving of the wind brought answers. Revelations.
He can't and won't save himself. This very girl in front of him threw him to the world of uncertainty, and if there's one thing he learned, it is to take a risk. Jump a cliff and hope for a sea in the bottom.
He'll gladly fall for her and break,
and break,
and break.
If the broken shards of him can save her and fill her, if somehow, the broken shards of him can match her broken pieces, he will willingly jump in her cliff of loneliness and desolation.Take the risk.
She can't be saved but she knows. She knows better now, as he take his hand and let him lead.
To their salvation.
