Ugh! Couldn’t that noise stop? My eyes opened farther with every buzz. I sat up and rubbed the sleep from my eyes just as the noise stopped. Other noises started to make an appearance in my ears. I could hear the bustle from outside the staff room, the day had already started. The door was cracked open, so people had seen me asleep here? The tv had been put on mute, the remote now over on the tv stand. The buzzing started again and I mad for my bag. It took me four rings to get out my cell phone. I looked at the caller ID and saw the hospitals number. Quickly I slid my finger across the screen to answer the call.

                “Hello?”

“Oh Lucy! I haven’t been able to get a hold of you all morning, I was starting to worry!” the voice of the Head of Staff exclaimed.

“Sorry, Miss Strauss, I just hadn’t woken up yet, sorry,” I wondered what she wanted.

“Oh! Well I’m glad you’re up now. Listen, there’s been a little bit of trouble with Mr. Dragneel.”

“What!?! Is he okay? What happened? Is he here? In emerge?” my mind flooded with questions.

“Oh he’s fine, just in a little trouble. Natsu has been placed under house arrest as of last night by lieutenant Erza Scarlet,” she said flatly. “We are still providing care for him, including counselling and we have prepared an in house doctor for him but he has requested you instead.” He wanted me? Still? After I’ve been so selfish he still wants me as his doctor? “So, we have granted him that option as long as you are comfortable with the arrangements,” her voice rose at the end asking me a question.

“I guess that would be okay,” I owed him for my selfishness; it was the least I could do.

“Good, you have his file? His address and cell number are located in there and you can head over there whenever you are ready. Good Luck Dr. Heartfilia.”

“Thank you,” and she hung up. I let out the breath I had been holding the whole conversation.

I took a quick glance at the time one my phone, it was just pass nine. Slowly I stand, grab my purse and head out the door. I already have his file with me so I decide to just head back to my apartment first to shower and get a change of clothes. My stomach growls, maybe get a bite of food too. I drive a little slower than normal, wanting to postpone going to Natsu’s house. I was a little nervous though I knew I was being silly. Once I’m home I hop into the shower and just stand as the water hits my body. Sleeping on the couch wasn’t a good idea. My body feels so stiff and sore so I try stretching the muscles in my arms feeling the skin pull and ache on my bruises. I stretch my neck next and I feel just how tender it is. I spend an extra few minutes in the shower once I’m done washing up. Again, just trying to postpone the inevitable. Just as I’m scrunching my hair in a towel, I hear a knock at my door. I throw a short robe over my body and head to the door. I’m just tying the robe up when I answer the door. I gasp as I see who the man behind the door is. Dr. Eucliffe stands with a bouquet of flowers smiling at me. I immediately try to slam the door shut but he shoves his foot in between the door and door jam.

“Lucy, I just wanted to apologize,” he shoves the door open and enters my apartment. His eyes widen in shock when he sees what I’m wearing but then his expression turns to a blush.

“I don’t need an apology, it was my fault but you really shouldn’t be here, it’s inappropriate,” he looked at me confused then smiles as though he’s figured it out.
