Olivia slammed her fist down onto the top of the ATM machine with a frustrated groan slipping from her lips. "To hell with this shit! It's busted!" she finished, giving it a hard kick.

Enzo swirled on his heel toward the redhead and uncrossed his arms, laying an arm on top of the ATM machine while looking down at her.

"You can't be serious. It's busted?" Enzo commented, sounding just as frustrated.

The redhead looked back at the ATM machine and shook her head. "I just-."

Before Olivia could finish her sentence, she felt a hand cover her mouth.

2 Years before

"Extra! Extra! Read all about it!" Exclaimed a small Automaton at the street corner. Olivia chuckled at how old timey they made these automaton's sound these days. Olivia eyed around the road to make sure there was no bus coming yet.

After a moment of checking she strutted over to the small automaton and stopped right in front of him, holding out her hand.

"I'll take one." she said with a genuine smile.

The little automation adjusted himself, raising his hand up so the Olivia could comfortably take the newspaper. Just as Olivia took the newspaper, the automaton continued his short chant.

"Let's see here." Olivia stated, straightening out the newspaper.

The front of the newspaper said in bold, Keep the City Safe! Join the Elite!

Olivia shook her head and started to return to her position at the local bus stop.

She leaned up against a bus stop sign and held the newspaper at her side.

She's been hearing so much about the Elite lately, mostly from her college classmates. They always tell her how cool the Elite is and how they always stand out from the rest of the hero's here in Granesse.

One of Olivia's closer friends, Emma the conspiracy theorist, told her all about the Elite being an organization made by our wonderful government. They plan to recruit anyone just to kill off the rest our already dying population in the future.

Apparently. Olivia thought as she felt a small sprinkle of a raindrop fall and hit her nose.

Not even a moment later, it started to pour very harshly. Olivia quickly headed underneath the bus shelter with everyone else and leaned her head up against the wall. The Elite didn't sound very interesting to Olivia but then she thought about it.

She just entered college because her mother wanted a good education for her, but she still didn't know what she wanted to do in life. "Joining the Elite doesn't sound too bad.. At least it's something I could do to get some money and occupy time." She mumbled to herself watching the rain fall.

As the bus finally strolled in, Olivia braced herself, clenching her fists together. She then took a deep breath and went onto the bus.

It'll be exciting.

* The next day *

The hazel eyed girl, stretched her arms toward the sky with a loud yawn.

"Finally!" she said almost incoherently. "I knew 2330 would be the year!"

Olivia stood in front of an all glass building with the word Elite plastered in a boring font.

The redhead gazed around her surroundings.

It was such a big space, and it was so far from the city area. All she could see was trees, a building, open land, then more trees.
