Hey everyone, I'm just saying but this first chapter is totally rubbish. The story does get better as the chapters go on. I promise.

Please give the story a chance?

Chapter 1 (This chapter has been majorly edited)

Scarlett's P.O.V

I sighed as I walked through the school enterance doors, soaking wet. I looked down at my cherry red skirt and my white blouse -which were now both drenched in water- I straightened out my black blazer and rolled up my sleeves. "Sleeves down, Ryder." Mrs Young scolded me, using my sirname. I muttered a 'I'll do it later' and carried on my way to my class room.

I climbed up the 2 flights of stairs to the 4th floor and walked to the Art corridoor where our form room was. I passed Landon on the way and booted his shin casually as he made a snotty comment about my appearance.

I reached my room and walked inside, mumbling a faint 'hey miss' to my form teacher, Miss Evans. I slid into my seat at the back of the class and pulled out a book from my bag. I found my page and started to read.

I heard the seat next to me screetch against the floor as Marielle slid in the seat next to me. "Hey." She said exasperated, sounding out of breath. "Hi El." I smiled at her, closing my book but keeping my index finger trapped inbetween the pages so I wouldn't lose where I was.

"So, meet any amazingly handsome boys over the weekend that blew you away?" She asked in a dreamy voice and I scoffed. "Why would anyone be interested in me? All they see is these thick framed glasses and they instantly judge... They always do." I replied, heaving out a breath and turning back to my book.

The book was snatched out of my hands by El as she gave me a stern look. "Now you know thats not true." I laughed dryly. "Okay then, name one boy that has given me a second glance after seeing these things." I pointed to the glasses on my face and a grin lit up on her face.

"What about Jason Moore?" I groaned and let my head drop, hitting it on the table. "Don't start." I whinned, really not wanting to talk about Jason. "Aww don't act like that! It was sweet!" I rolled my eyes. "If by 'sweet' you mean it was totally embarrassing and scarred me for life then yes, it was very sweet."

Jason is a slightly chubby nerd with bogeys hanging out of his nose and with partly grey hair. A few months ago, at the lunch hall while me and El were eating lunch peacefully, he stood up on a table infront of everyone and declared his love for me. Everyone turned to me and started laughing. I then had to hide behind El and when he started walking towards me, I legged it out of the hall. I feel sorry for the humiliation Jason must had gone through after I left but it was just way to much for me.

I shivered in disgust at the thought of Jason if he had tried to kiss me. Ew.

"Lets change the subject. I heard Chase Winters is back today." I rolled my eyes. "Hip hip hooray." I said sarcastically. El rolled her eyes and got up, my book in her hand. I stood up with her, hitching my bag over my shoulder as I did so. I reached out to grab the book but she streched her arm so it was out of my grasp. I groaned lightly. "El, give it." She shook her head and slowly backed away to the door.

I looked around to see that we were the only ones in the class apart from Joshua who was currently asleep on his desk and Miss Evans who was typing away at her computer.

I turned back to the door to see the blonde ends of El's hair whip past the door and I sighed, chasing out after her. I looked down the corridoor but I couldn't see her through the huge mass off students crowding their lockers. I looked to the right and saw Mason Jones heading this way and instantly knew she went to the left, she would never risk bumping into him.
