I woke up this morning a little nervous to know what Patiance wanted to talk to me about, But I pushed away any negative thoughts as I sat at the table waiting for my car to arrive.
"So, Any idea why your ex would want you to meet her right away?" Michael asked groggily as he just woke up.
"No idea. This is so weird. Here, I haven't heard or seen her in a year, And now she wants to meet me to "Tell me something." I don't know if I believe her." I said.
"Just know you can call us if she turns ugly on you. We'll even stay close by if you want us too so we can make a quick get away." Mikey said.
"Thanks, I might just hit you up on that idea, If you don't mind?" I asked.
"Sure thing, Mate! I'll wake the guys up and we'll meet you about a block away from her flat. Okay?" Mike asked.
"Sure. I'll see you guys in a bit, my rides here." I said and headed out the door.
My nerves kicked in once I got seated in the van. All kinds of scenarios rolled in my head like thunder until we reached Patiance's flat. "It's now or never" I thought to myself as I got out of the van.
"Um, I'm looking for a Patiance Frost? She lives here." I said to one of the janitors here in the building.
"Oh yeah, Second floor, Third door on the left. Should say number 34 on her door." The janitor said.
"Thanks." I said and walked up the stairs.
I found her apartment and I hesitated before I knocked on her door. I heard a little whine at the door and some shuffling of feet before it stopped in front of the door and opening, Reviling the girl I thought I lost a year ago.
"Luke! It's so good to see you!" The girl I fell hard in love for and left me said as she welcomed me into her house.
"It's um, Nice to see you too." I said. Not knowing how to reply to her. It's not like I can say, "Hey, Why'd you up and leave me and not tell me where you were going. And not telling be me about something very important. Something like this."
"So, Um, How've you been?" She asked.
"Good! Good, Bands doing well. Family, Well the same. Ah, You?" I asked very awkwardly.
"Luke, I know you must be confused and a little mad as to why I decided to call you. But I thought you should know. We have a daughter." She whispered so softly I thought I was hearing things.
"W-What? Since when? Why didn't you tell me? Or call me?" I said as I became more angry at her.
"You were touring at the time, I wanted to tell you that I was pregnant. But, I didn't want to ruin your tour." She said as she shrank into her seat.
"Patiance, I wouldn't have been mad, I'm mad now because you kept it a secret from me for a year! I have a one year old daughter now. Do you know what that means?" I asked.
"I know, Luke. I know. But listen, I can't handle being a mom. I'm leaving London tonight. And I'm not taking Ella with. She's going to stay with you, Luke. And you can't stop me because I all ready signed the papers to have her in your custody."
"This is insane, you can't just leave Ella, She needs a mom and a dad. We can work things out. Please, Don't leave!" I begged her.
But before I could do anything else, She didn't even grab her things, She just walked out the door and left the building. I wanted to run after her. Scream at her for being stupid and not telling me I had a daughter. Yell at her for waking away on an infant, But I never did. I just let her walk away.
I didn't think much longer on the situation because I heard small cries from my daughter coming from her room. My instincts kicked in and I went to go find her and help her calm down.
When I laid eyes on my daughter I gasped at how similar we looked. She had my eyes, My noes. Small blond hair growing on her small head. But she had her mothers facial features. I could tell she was mine. And I couldn't stop myself from falling in love with her. She's mine now, And all I can do is forget about Patiance and take Ella back with me to be the father she needed.
I called my cab to take me back to the flat and I made sure to grab all Ella's things before heading out the door.
When I got back to the flat all eyes were on me. As to be expected. But they seemed to be calm as I explained everything to them.
"She has your eyes, Mate." Ash said.
"I know, I couldn't help but feel love for her all ready once I laid my eyes on her. I feel awful, Her mother just up and left her. But I'm going to be here for her, I'm not letting her go." I said.
"That's my man, You need to be the father she needs, Luke. And don't worry, We'll help you out too." Mikey said.
"Thank you guys so much. Can I ask for some help? I need to buy her some clothes, diapers, And some baby food. At least Patiance wrote out a list of things she'll need. That's the only thing I'm thankful to her for. So, Let's get the things and try to calm down after today." I said.
They nodded in agreement and we headed out to the store to by my daughter the things she needs.
I hope she'll grow to love me. I all ready fell horrible for not being there when she was born. Her first birthday, Just everything so far. But I'm going to be here for the rest. Starting today, I'm going to be her dad, And nothing's going to take that away from me.

Awe, What a good daddy Luke is.
So, That's a little sad though, Ella's mom just up and leaves her. Of course she doesn't know what's going on, But thankfully Like dove in and wanted to take her into his custody. What a good father.
