"Yes mom. I know what I'm doing. She's safe, She has clothes, baby food, A crib, Everything she needs. Don't worry." I said as my mom called me this morning pounding me on making sure I had all the essentials for Ella.

"Okay, Well you're a new dad, Luke. I need to make sure my baby boy knows what he's doing to take care of his baby girl. It's just a mother thing." Mom said.

"I know mom. Hey, I gotta go. Ella's waking up, And the guys are here too. Love you!" I said and hung up.

Okay Number one, give Ella a bath. And number two make her, her breakfast. And the rest of the guys breakfast too, I guess.

"I know baby girl, But the water will be nice and warm once you get in and then you'll warm up." I told her while holding her little baby butt to warm her up. She was shivering so I held her until the water was warm enough for her.

"Hey mate, Mind if the guys and I go get something to eat? We're like starving." Mike asked through the cracked open door.

"Yeah, Bring me back something to drink though!" I yelled through the door and got a mumbled reply for Mike.

"All most done princess, Just gotta rinse off the soap and I'll get you all wrapped up and dried off. Okay?" I said. As usual I got no answer, But I took that as a yes.

Okay, Her bath's done. Now to find her some clothes.

I picked out a cute dress with tights and a flower head band. Once I dressed her we headed down stairs for some food. Well food for me, Baby mush for Ella that looks like vomit, But she loves it.

"Here comes the train! Choo choo!" Ash said as he fed Ella in her high chair.

"You're enjoying that, Aren't you Ash?" I asked.

"What? Babies need entertainment when they're getting fed." Ash shrugged.

"Yeah, I guess." Mike said and continued to eat.

"So, What should we do today? We don't have anything to do today. We should do something fun with Ella!" Cal said.

"Sure! Like what? I mean what can we do with a one year old?" Mike asked.

"We could take her to the park. Um, watch movies with her. We could show her around the city. I don't know. You pick." Ash said.

"How about we take her to the park and let her swing on the swings for a little while." I said.

"Sure! I'll go get her stroller!" Cal said.

I couldn't be sure if I heard this correctly but I swear I heard Ella say dada.

"Did she just say dada?" Ash asked.

"I can't be sure, But I swear it sounded like it!" I said.

"If so, I'm writing this down in her baby book!" Ash said.

"Do it! My mom will want to know what her first word was." I said.

Ash went and wrote it down and I smiled because my baby's all ready growing up. I just hope it doesn't go by super fast. I'd like to have her stay little for as long as I can.

"Okay, Ella's strapped in and ready to go. Let's go!" I said and walked out the house.

"Okay, Mikey don't push her too high, She might get scared." I told Mike as he was putting Ella into the baby swing.

"I won't. Don't worry!" He said and began to gently push her in the swing. Once I heard her giggling I knew she would be okay with Mikey in his hands.

"So, How are you holding up?" Ash asked me.

"All right. She's a handful, But she's also very good. I'm glad she doesn't cry over everything and actually likes us. It would've been hard if she didn't warm up to us." I said.

"Yeah, I just feel bad though that her mom had to walk out on her. But at least she doesn't understand what she did right now. But sadly she will later one." Ash said.

"Yeah, I'm dreading the day I have to explain what happened to her mother. Not something I'd like to do." I admitted.

"Yeah, But we can help you out with that when the moment comes." Ash said.

We looked over at Mikey and Ella laughing while playing in the sand pit. I smiled knowing she's warmed up to Mike. Seeing them laughing made me happy.

I snuck a picture of Mikey and Ella playing together at the right moment. They were both laughing and it just looked so cute. I even sent it to my mom.

"Looks like Ella is in good arms with you guys." My mom texted me back.

"Yeah, I think so too." I said.

I remembered that the social service lady is coming in a couple days, Three to be exact. So, I just hope Ella's happy attitude towards us stays like this.

We finished up at the park and decided to head home. Ella fell asleep in my arms on the walk to the car and I tried my hardest to not wake her up when I put her into her car seat. But the sound of someone familiar got all our attention and woke Ella up as well.

What's she doing here?
