Jamarie was at my house in exactly 20 minutes, which made me a little suspicious. He text me when he pulled up so that I could come outside. Nobody else was at home my siblings decided to stay at my moms and my dad was probably working late. I went outside and stood on the porch and just stared at his car. It was really nice, I knew it was a Mercedes but I didn't know what model. I soon got a text it was from Jamarie

Jamarie: so you just gonna stand there and stare or you gonna get in.

Me: You wanted to come over I never said I was going anywhere with you...

I could see him laughing from where I stood on the porch, I don't understand what was so funny to him. He opened his door and started walking towards my front porch, I stayed put. Jamarie made his way up the steps and I took this time to analyze his outfit. He had on a pair of grey Adidas sweats, a white tee, and some "black toe" 14s accessorized with a gold chain and diamond earrings. He looked so good.

"I see you checking out the kid" He said as a grin graced his face.

"Boy bye, you wish." I spoke as I rolled my eyes. I wasn't about to admit to him that he looked good enough to eat or that I was actually checking him out. Jamarie just stood there looking me up and down scanning me like he was studying me for an exam or something.

"Is there a problem?" I asked giving him the side eye.

"Dang shawty chill out. Why you always giving me the cold shoulder? You not gone let me come in an..."

"First off I don't give you the cold shoulder. You just think that you're too cute for anyone to turn you down or not give you the time of day. But no you can't come in." I interrupted.

"Dang its like that ma." He said a look of hurt crossing his face but quickly replaced it with a nonchalant expression.

"Yea, its a school night and no one else is home so you're really not supposed to be here."

It was technically half true, I could have company on school nights just not from boys especially ones my father didn't personally know. He studied my expression to see if I was lying or not, but I held my ground. His eyes were piercing so I looked away, but I could still feel his eyes on me. I don't know why but I felt like he could see right through me. Finally he spoke and asked me if I was allowed out this late and that he wanted to show me something.

"What do you want to show me?" I asked skeptical.

"Just answer the question shawty." he seemed to be getting agitated with me I didn't care though.

"Uh, answer mine then we can discuss it and lose the attitude." I said with much attitude laced in my voice and rolled my eyes.

Jamarie moved closer to me and closed the space between us. He was so close our bodies were inches away from touching. His large body towered over my short one and I felt a little intimidated. He gazed at me for a few minutes and then began speaking slow and serious.

"Listen ma. I'm feeling you, you're really pretty and you seem smart. But this attitude I ain't feeling that shit. You can dead that shit for real cause I ain't do nothing to make you so defensive, but I ain't gone have you disrespecting me and shit... Not to many niggas live to say  they got that opportunity. Now you riding or naw?"

After he was done talking he stood straight up and stared at me waiting on me to make a decision. I didn't know whether to be scared, pissed, or intrigued by his demeanor. I looked at him closely and weighed my options. I turned and locked the door before turning back towards him and walking down the steps to his car. Jamarie followed suit neither of us saying a word, but both feeling the same excitement and hesitation . We got in the car and he backed out of my driveway and drove away.
