I sat at my desk and started at the board with a blank expression. Algebra didn't interest me in the slightest. My eyes always seemed to fall and many times before, I had or almost had fallen asleep.

"Ok so I'm going to pass out tonight's homework."

The teacher grabbed a stack of papers off of her desk and walked in between them putting a single paper on the desk. I sat there resting my head in my hand and watched her until she passed me. The work didn't look too hard. Eren and I would probably be working on it together tonight anyways.

"Levi did you hear?"

I looked over at the desk next to me and saw Eren. He had an excited look on his face and he seemed eager to tell me.

"What is it brat?"

"We are finally starting a new unit in Social Studies! I am so excited!"

His face lit up and I felt that feeling of love pierce my heart as always. He was just so cute when he smiled. Those beautiful blue and green orbs sparkled in the light and made him seem even happier than he was.

The bell rang and everyone in the class started packing up their things. I put my homework in my bag and stood up to leave. Eren got up and ran after me. We walked together to Social Studies in silence.

"Hey Levi!"

I looked up at my crazy friend Hanji who had the same excited look on her face that Eren did when he had told me about the fact that we were starting a new unit.

"What is it shitty glasses?" I said with an annoyed tone.

"We are..."

"Starting a new unit today? Yeah I know."

"What we have been learning about was so boring I almost fell asleep."

"You almost falling asleep in class? That's unheard of."

The door to the classroom opened and in walked the teacher. Everyone in the classroom walked to their seats and sat down. Before the teacher started her daily lecture, she passed out packets that outlined the unit.

When I got mine I looked down at it and my eyes widened. The title was 'The Fall of Humanity:The Titans Attack'.

"Ok class so today we are starting a new unit."

I looked back up at the teacher with my eyes still wide. She looked across the classroom at everyone.

"How many of you have watched the show Attack on Titan?"

I looked at the people who were raising their hands. Kelsey, Eren, and Hanji were among them.

"Well this anime was based off of the events that took place about three hundred and fifty years ago," the teacher said," humanity had been pushed to the brink of extinction when the huge giants called Titans appeared. Humanity barricaded themselves behind three large walls, each being fifty meters high."

She turned around and drew three circles on the board and then labeled them.

"The outer wall was called Wall Maria. The middle wall was called Wall Rose. And the most inner wall was called Wall Sina."

This was just the worst thing to be learning about. I never even thought that this was a thing. I had always thought they were dreams my mind had thought up at night but now I knew they weren't.

"There was a military system that was set up into three different branches. The Garrison Regiment stayed inside the cities and repaired the walls when necessary. The Military Police were the most elite and worked in the interior. And the final regiment were the Survey Corps. These brave soldiers left the safety of the walls and dared to explore the world while fighting the Titans."
