By the time Hoseok pulled up in his car, you had stopped crying and instead started shivering. You were sitting on the curb, your arms wrapped around your torso, trying to keep warm. As you slowly stood up, Hoseok reached over and opened the door for you. You let yourself fall into the front seat, closing the door roughly behind you. "Hey," Hoseok said, his voice gentle. "Hey, look at me." You brought your eyes to his and sat there numbly as he wiped the remaining tears on your face away with his thumb. "Hey, it's gonna be okay. I'll... talk to him." Hoseok said quietly, his hand still resting against your cheek. You nodded half-heartedly, almost to the point of not caring. Hoseok let out a sigh and returned his attention to driving, backing out of the driveway. You looked back at the house, letting your head rest against the window. The house that had so many memories built into it, all of you and Jungkook's memories together. The house that was no longer yours to love. Just like Jungkook. You watched the kitchen window where warm light was shining through the thin curtains. Right before the window disappeared from your view, you thought you saw a bit of movement, a flick of the curtains. But, just like that, the house was gone. You were travelling farther and farther away from it, and, suddenly, you just broke. You were doubled over in your seat, fists clenched in your hair, sobbing uncontrollably. You couldn't contain your heartbreak anymore, and you didn't want to. Hoseok's hand crept onto your knee, squeezing gently. He understood. You pulled your face out of your hands and sloppily ran your hand over your eyes, trying to clear your vision. You looked over at Hoseok and saw that he had tears of his own streaming silently down his face. You looked back to his hand and noticed that it was now palm up, asking. Without a second thought, you gripped it with your own, clinging to it. Hoseok was the only thing you had left. You realized that you didn't want to let go, and you hoped that he never would either.

You woke up with a start, confused at first. Soon, though, it all clicked back into place in your foggy mind. It had been nearly a week since the incident with Jungkook, but you still missed him so badly. You wouldn't let Hoseok know, though. After all, he had been kind enough to let you stay at his house. And he had respected your boundaries, letting you sleep in his room, but alone. You had told him countless times that you would be fine on the sofa, but he had refused. Suddenly, you felt yourself smiling. You were at Hoseok's house. "Hoseok!" You called, trying to sound urgent. You quickly hopped out of bed and went to stand behind the door, grabbing a pillow. You heard footsteps approaching tentatively, and bit down on your palm to stifle your rising laughter. Hoseok stopped just on the other side of the door, confused. "Y/N?" He called, taking a few more steps into the room. That was all you needed. You lurched forward, pushing the door shut and charging at Hoseok. He whirled around just in time to get whacked in the face with your pillow. He reeled back, dazed, and you threw the pillow to the ground. You flew at him, but he was too quick. In your attempts to push him down onto the bed, he instead caught you around the waist and fell onto the bed. You landed on top of him and immediately started squirming. Even though Hoseok could have held you there, he let you wriggle into a sitting position. You were perched on his stomach, your knees on either side of Hoseok's chest, him smiling amusedly up at you. You reached out and grabbed the television remote off of the nightstand, gripping it tightly in both hands. "Any last words before I plunge this dagger into your heart, you evil pirate?" You said, giggling. Hoseok played along. "Fair maiden, I don't understand why you call me evil? I was simply doing my job and you attacked me." You thought this over for a moment, wondering what to say. Before you could respond, Hoseok sat up, holding you against his chest, to whisper in your ear. "Though, I will tell you one thing. I am most certainly not pure." He growled, and you felt yourself blush. "Hoseok!" You squealed, pushing him away. You hopped to your feet and started to run towards the door. You didn't get far before you felt a hand clamp around your wrist. "Not so fast." Hoseok said, pulling you back into him. You whirled back, falling into his lap. "Let me go!" You squealed, trying to fight your way free of his grasp. You felt Hoseok's lips lightly on your neck, barely brushing your hot skin. It quieted you, and he laughed. "I'm not letting you go until you kiss me." He said quietly. You turned into him, but didn't touch your lips to his. "What if I don't want to?" You asked defiantly, even though you, in fact, did want to kiss him. Hoseok laughed, a light laugh, nothing that could have warned you of his next actions. Before you even knew what was happening, Hoseok was on top of you, pinning you to the bed. His arms and knees were keeping him from touching you, and you found you didn't exactly like that. You reached up and tried to pull him to you, tried to close the gap between your bodies. "Not so fast, Kitten." Hoseok said, letting his lips graze your ear. You felt yourself shiver and before Hoseok could pull back, you turned your face and smashed your lips against his. Hoseok's lips moved along with yours effortlessly and smoothly, as if you had never known anything but each other's kiss. Hoseok pulled back, breathing roughly, each exhalation hitting your face, filling your senses with his sweet, hot breath. "I love you." Hoseok panted. In that moment, you knew that everything was going to be okay, all of your problems wouldn't matter, as long as you were with Hoseok. So, instead of holding back, the way you had been, you let go. You felt your entire being shifting, accepting the burden, and gift, of a new love. A true love.
