It was a Monday morning just like any other school morning, Mel gets into her car to go pick up her best friend Ashley. The usual morning routine is pick up Ashley, go to Jack in the Box for breakfast, and go to school. If you didn't know Ashley's mom is an alcoholic and Mel is always helping Ashley when her mom can't.
Mel's family is totally different than Ashley's. She has both her parents and they both love her. She has 3 brothers and no sisters. She considers Ashley as her sister. But basically they are total opposites.
