In the fandom, Japan is pretty much the ultimate third wheel of the Axis Powers. Also known as Kiku Honda or Honda Kiku, Japan is a shy, quiet, and hardworking man. He doesn't really know a whole lot about the outside world, but he wants to learn about it. He loves food, similar to China, and this shows when Germany took away a lot of certain foods from Japan when he puts him on a diet.
Although Japan is an antisocial dork, he has some relationships with other people, including America, China, England, Germany, Italy, Greece, Turkey, Netherlands, and a few others. His relationship with America includes going out to random places - such as taking America to try some Japanese food - watching 'scary' movies, chosen by America, and playing video games together. China is the man who raised him when he was younger, and China has taught him a lot as he grew up.
In the anime, a couple episodes showed how Japan and England can be alone together, and England tried to teach Japan english (this is a pen XD). Germany and Italy are his partners in the Axis powers, and he can obsess over cats with Greece and be awkward dorks together (whether it's platonic or not, it's up to you). For a while, when Japan kept his borders shut, he kept in contact with Netherlands since he wanted to trade with him. Some popular ships for Japan are AmeriPan, GiriPan, AsaKiku, or ItaPan.
1) First of all, who is your favorite character in Hetalia? "My all time favourite character in hetalia is Aph China, hands down."
2) Who do you relate to most in Hetalia? "I would say I relate most to Iceland, Romano, and Belarus."
3) What is your biggest OTP if any and why? "My biggest OTPs would have to be Dennor, Rochu and Ameripan. I can't choose just one... But they're so sweet, and the characters are so sweet to just break. They seem like the kind of characters that react well when you try to break them and react horribly when you DO break them. "
4) What is your NoTP if any? "Norice and Usuk. It's incest, and I hate that. So also itacest and germancest."
5) Would you rather be raised by the Axis or the Allies? "I would love to be raised by the Axis, but I really would like to be raised with the Allies. I agree with their views a lot more and I want Yao to raise me!"
